The Easter weekend closes with a bang as many households see their council tax and bills go up on what's been dubbed 'price hike day'.

This week will also see many of the policies announced in the chancellor's budget and other flagship measures come into force - starting today, with a rise in the national living wage and free childcare.
One of the last rolls of the dice for the government ahead of a widely expected autumn election, and all amid terrible poll ratings over the weekend.

The torirs falsely trying to portray a feelgood factor that is totally non existent by the vast majority of UK households that are genuinely doing it tough, only dealing with all the easentials and still hiideously expensive when it comes to gas, electricity, petrol and grocery prices in the shops to still comfortably get. So the ongoing cost of living crisis isn't just your imagination nor a perpetuated myth by the left to drum up a crisis. It's 100% genuine and still very much ongoing.

High inflation, high interest rates monthly mortgage payments went up to unaffordable levels with every high interest rate hike. Monthly Rent for renters has gone up to unaffordable levels as Landlords are passing on the cost of their monthly payments that has gone up by every high interest rate hike onto the Renters. Then you have every bills that keeps going up and up. Wages are not going up benefits are not going up. Absolute disgrace we are being shafted left right and centre from all sides.

The cost of living crisis never hit them, and the tories have made sure that they would not see them lose any money and in fact they have got ever richer. But they along with the big corporations are the main tory voter demograhic, make up a very small share of the UK vote. And as they're doing it alright financially and the tories and them speak the same languge, no wonder Sunak and Hunt now talk about the feelgood factor ever since the budget as you'd never thought there was ever a cost of living crisis in the first place the way the tories are going on now even though it has gone on all along and it's still very much ongoing for the vast majority of the UK's households. Nobody out of 10"s of millions wbo are in extreme poverty and doing it extremely tough during this seemingly neverending cost of living crisis are grinning when Sunak and Hunt are mentioning about other certain countries apparently doing it worse. The vast majority still doing it extremely tough are not listening to the tories any longer.

@TobyCostaDunkin hi dude Of course our economy is now growing, I mean at one point it has to grow, it can't carry on going down.😂 Inflation is going down, well we have the highest inflation in Europe so it has to go down at one point. The April rise would not be an issue if the country wasn't in such a state to begin with. We now have the worst mental health issue with children and adults compare to most countries in the EU. Children poverty is the highest. Teenager self harming is the worst, obesity as well. Healthcare has fallen really low now. We are among the top 10 worst Healthcare in Europe. Our councils are falling in bankruptcy one after an other. Most of protons are living over their parents savings, we barely create a new social cast. Actually tye social economic gap between our cast is the highest in Europe. We are not talking about most of the high pay job that are accessible from people coming from private education or European immigrants. Like vets for exemple. More than 50% of parents have to get in debt to pay for childcare. So brexit didn't caused that but Brexit aggravated this and restrained our solutions to get out of this mess, if mess is the right word. One day or an other we will have to talk about Brexit's damage to the british economy. I know we are good at hurrying our head in the sand but it doesn't solve anything.
