UK election 2024: Starmer received less votes than Corbyn’s Labour

Despite winning a huge majority, Labour’s share of the popular vote is the lowest ever by a party to win a majority in British history.
Labour received 34 percent of the national vote, which translated to 64 percent of the seats in parliament.
Starmer’s 34 percent is only marginally better than the 32 percent former left-wing leader Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour managed in the last election. In terms of raw votes, Labour received less support than it did in 2019 (9.7m votes vs 10.2m votes).
Former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn has been re-elected as an MP, winning almost 50 percent of the vote in Islington North, the London constituency he has represented for more than four decades after standing as an independent.

A large portion of Conservative voters either voted for another party or did not vote because they believe the Conservative Party is no longer conservative. The Conservative Party has softened its stance on issues like mass immigration and Islamization in the UK. Higher taxation or similar issues played it part. Everyone knows that a division of Conservative votes could bring Stalmer into power; however, Stalmer was acceptable for Conservative voters to consider voting for another party like Reform. If Jeremy Corbyn were still leading the labor party, no Conservative voters would dare to split their votes. That's why Labour performed well, even though a significant chunk of Muslim voters who used to support Labour voted for pro-Islamist candidates."

Unfortunately , Starmer`s policy will be the same , (exception of getting into the European Union) , While his foreign policy on the middle east and War in Ukraine will be the same. Nigel Farage`s Reform UK will gain traction as people see fresh ideas , while it will be controversial . In last election they Allied NF so his votes went to Conservative and in this election they want to bring SK so he made his UK Reform party and he divided the conservative vote. This is very small example and there are more to it but leave it for the next time.

This is why we need electoral reform. We need PR: Proportional Representation, to replace the First Past The Post system we currently have.

Such a shame they got rid of Corbyn as a leader from Labour Party, and treated him so badly. I was excited to have him as leader, and believed he would have done a lot of great things. He genuinely cares about the people.
