University is important. The subject one plans to study is also quite important. If a uni offers a better course and has a rich faculty, it will make a significant difference. A postgraduation course is for a year or two and then you have PSW. Distance between Portsmouth and London is between 1.5 - 2 hrs. And during PSW one can work anywhere in the UK. It's completely upon one's circumstance and preference while selecting any uni. Both of them have their own pros and cons. Do some more research, and check out some job sites for current vacancies to have some ideas to make your decision. Best wishes.
