I'm off on yet another adventure... but this time it's not for pleasure! Quite the opposite in fact, this one will be very painful! I'm taking on a savage cycling sportive that's not for the faint hearted...
Now according to the company UK's Hardest Hundred, this is one of, if not the hardest 100 mile routes in the UK... and I must admit, after completing this ride... I don't disagree with them.
The route is actually just shy of 100 miles but it manages to rack up over 12,000 feet of elevation in that distance. It's an absolute suffer-fest! But that sense of achievement at the end just makes it all worth it.
See how I get on tackling this brute of a route in the wonderful Peak District... The hills are immense and the views, well... they're quite simply breath taking!

You should go try Hardknott Pass in the lake district. One of the hardest climbs in all of Europe!! Really test ya that one will lol!

Another fantastic video. Cracking effort on the climbing, nice one. Out of interest, what cassette do you run? I'm limited to an 10/28 until I can get a new bike and it's a killer on the hills. Leith Hill was the hardest one to date. Next big one is ride London 100 in a few weeks down your way.

Love the videos mate! One thing I’ve struggled with is how you set up your Garmin ahead of rides etc… is it as simple as starting a ride on strava? Do you copy across the GPX file? Not the most fun idea for a vid, but appreciate any guidance you have 😅

I’m not quite sure what your asking... but if you mean do I plan my routes in advance on strava... then the answer is yes! Always... and then upload them to the Garmin for the directions! 😁👍

In the video, you knew how many climbs there were coming up, length up the climbs etc. Is that natively in the ‘ride data’ when you upload the ride? It was definitely tough... no two ways about it! And umm it’s a bit too long of a process to explain, but the jist is I use photoshop and then animate it on premiere...
