Solo storm beach fishing in the UK. Graeme Pullen puts 3 films together for you as a real saltwater mashup in this episode. First he races down to Chesil beach but finds the Tackle shop CLOSED !! Uh-oh that's not good… No worms for bait, So he tries his luck with loads of other beach fishermen who are also struggling to find any fish. His bait? Wild Atlantic shell-on prawns and a single Mackerel for fish strips. He then shows one of his favourite cookup episodes while aboard a 50-year old wooden boat. He fillets fresh caught Mackerel and adds some of the prawns...Mmmmm...sounds good. Finally he shows how a fishing boat is craned out of the sea by a lorry at Courtmacsherry pier in Ireland, in readiness for winterisation. All in all a 40-minute mashup of saltwater stuff, but don't forget to run through the Totally Awesome Fishing Show playlist to find other films of interest..There's only 960 to go through..Enjoy!

You mentioned an early Cod Graeme in your video, I live in the Midlands and a group of us shore fished the Mersey estuary couple years ago from the Wiral side of the river fishing about 100 yards offshore and was stunned to catch a fair few Cod/Codling. My question is do you ever venture north as most of your shore videos are from the south coast. Great video keep them coming.

South coast mostly as the cost of fuel is so high plus half the time I can't find anywhere like a B&B that isn't less than £75 a night,which of course I won't be paying !! Not to mention the horrendous traffic. I do run down West a few times though.

I've never seen it done from the beach!! If it works inland why wouldn't it work in the sea. ? Happy Xmas mate.
@TAFishing

Always worth trying something different on other species/waters/oceans/situations...that's how the early fishermen learned....will be tough getting a beach fisherman to put his hook OUTSIDE the bait on a hair rig though..the fish are hard enough to catch as it is...Good comment though,others might expand on it..Have a safe Xmas...

When cooking prawns - remove the tail and skin but leave the head on. Run your knife down the back and remove the blue 'vein'. Fry in butter with a little garlic until just pink. Don't forget to suck out the head! Although it sounds awful, trust me, it's the best bit of the prawn!
