You will save so much money going to Tesco or Aldi or Lidl. Both M&S and Waitrose are considered the "Posh people" supermarkets in the UK. I would love to see you try out the different meal deals from all the different shops (Tesco is my fave).

I always find it strange that Americans won't drink tap water. In the UK bottled is generally just for when you're out of the house. I'd love for you to get a cream tea. 😋 They're a lovely treat and generally Americans are very impressed with them. As for supermarket stuff just the general British staples so you can compare the difference.

Try going to a really nice pub near you! They are most likely to serve some good british foods! Such as shepherd's pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash etc. They'll also be really welcoming!

As an advisory, the tap water in the uk is totally fine to drink, we try to steer away from bottled water due to the single use plastic issue. And to save your poor arms having to carry it back from the shop!

You should buy a terrys chocolate orange!! They are considered particularly festive and are very delicious! If you guys see a tesco i would also recommend their meal deals.. £3 for a sandwich/pasta , a drink and a snack (bargain! especially if you finesse the system with a £2.50 smoothie as your choice of drink!) enjoy bath :) its a great city

I'm glad you chose the biscuit tea, I love that one! The toast and jam smells strongly of strawberry like a perfume and makes me nauseous. I love PG tips so good choice, though you should also try Yorkshire Tea to see which you prefer! You should definitely have an afternoon tea, you can easily make it at home, buy some scones, clotted cream and jam, make whatever flavour of sandwiches you like into finger sandwiches, and buy a variety of small cakes, and there you have an afternoon tea at home! I and my English partner always make them.
