UK Weather: Travel chaos with 300 flood warnings across England

Hundreds of flood warnings remain in place and commuters face travel disruption on Friday after heavy downpours submerged roads, fields and railways.
On Friday morning, a total of 302 flood warnings were in place in England, as well as 13 in Wales, with forecasters predicting showers could continue.

When the government were talking about expanding the infrastucture to enable easier transit, I didn't realise they were planning on making Canals 150' wide. They're gonna need bigger lock gates.

A friend of mine said this would happen, at least 20 years ago. Part of his job was to predict, using data about reclaimed land, what could happen

should see the back roads this morning,Well Flooded out,Some of the Farm land also flooded a little bit as well,Here in King's Lynn,Not as bad as whats on the news,Still bad enough,It very easy enough to ride my Electric bike through it this morning,Could imagine any one driving a car through deeper floods

If the council empties the overflows of rubbish as they used to do then we would not have such bad floods. Same with the side of the roads. Blocked up drains.
