5:36 US politics don't matter for the F-16s, it's the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway that are supplying them and the US authorized the transfer.

I recently had the same issue of naval assets not showing up. I removed all of my mods and installed them one by one. I ended up discovering that it was the MIG-29 from CH. I didn't have the most recent release, and it somehow stopped the ships from showing up. I updated the mod and everything seems to be back in working order. Hopefully this helps!

The Ukranians will get the F-16s. Most people don't realize how long it takes to train the aircrews, ground crews, logistics system, ect. Just because the Ukranians have pilot's experienced in Mig-29s and SU-27s that doesn't mean a whole lot. Most of them can't even speak or read English so they have to start from scratch learning the language. That takes a long time. Then they have to learn very complex systems on the Viper which have zero things in common to what the Ukranian pilots are used to. The Ground crews have to learn every system on the aircraft and how to fix them. It goes on and on. It took the Polish AF around 10 years with their Vipers to get proficient with them according to people involved in that and Poland wasn't at war at the time. If you give the Ukranians Vipers when they aren't ready to take them to war all you will do is loose a lot of brave pilots and all your F-16s.

It's pretty clear that Russian AA is overperforming in this game. In reality Ukraine probably used less storm shadows.

There is a S400 in feodosia. All the russian SAM's missed or the radars could not detect them. DCS is just not remotely realistic with the russian SAM's that we have seen in Ukraine. heck there was a drone above a TRML 4D radar that wasn't detected.

Just a heads up that certain CH mods have unfortunately been blocking non-ED units mainly from showing up. Another problem is they actually prevent them from firing as well. They will NOT fire at any aircraft at least and I am pretty sure this applies to other units or missiles as well.. I had to get rid of a ton of mods and found that it was mostly CH mods but also Jas-39 I think was causing some issues as well.. But, yea unfortunately you will have to skim through the mods and disable them one by one to figure out which ones are interacting badly unless you understand the Errors in the Track files which I cant read that so..

This looks awesome. Coming out about a month too late for me as I already went for the TM pendular rudder. I do however have the Winwing F18 UFC/HUD/3xMIP combo and the F16 ICP and they are all absolutely awesome so I have no doubt this will be great kit too. Well done! Also congrats on the new UK site - I will be ordering the take off panel as soon as you get stock.

As for your ground units and ship problem; I am willing to bet its the Su-30 Mod. This mod started causing that problem for me after the update before the most recent. Worth a try 👍

What the destruction of the Ropucha shows is that, while stormshadow/scalp missiles do work as anticipated, Russian anti-air defense probably does not or, let's say, is not properly modeled in DCS. Russia also does not fly that many fighters in CAP but that does not really matter since you can certainly set up whatever interesting scenario you wish and this is really good indeed.

Did you have any mald decoys and drones flying at the same time during the Storm Shadow launches? That's how they probably do the fire missions along with decoys and drones

Got to update your mods to the latest version if you are using CH's Asset packs, there are conflicts.

I have the latest update and I just checked every naval asset (core game, no mods) to see if they were visible in game. I found no issues, so the problem must be a mod gumming up the works somewhere. God only knows how many mods you have on your machine! Good luck with that one. I would not envy hunting for the offending software

My guess would be the missing hardware is a budgetary issue.

I think that in real life the fact that this mission was successful indicates haw badly depleted the Russian AA defense is.

I think that one of the big problem Russia is having IRL is that they don't seem to have AWACS, or similar, support most of the time. I don't see any evidence of them anyway, so I think that they are a lot more "blind" than you often give them credit for in the sims. Just an observation/thought.

The "export model" guff was to appease the Russians - there are no "export" range Storm Shadows available - none - they only exist in theory. All British Storm Shadows are full-fat long-range missiles. The French DO have shorter export range missiles - but if it's actual Storm Shadow is in use, it is the long range version.

@Cap. As the Storm Shadows and SCALP provided to Ukraine came from UK and French national stocks, so they are almost certainly the full range versions. I understand that it makes for a more challenging mission however.

Itd a mod problem. Dixable the mods starting with the du30. I was having a n issue just before Christmas with that.

Just as an FYI - "Ropucha" is Polish for "toad", as these ships were built in Gdańsk. It is pronounced "ro-pu-ha", as the "ch" makes an "h" sound in Polish, but instead of the tongue being more forward in the mouth like in "hand", it is pushed down and into the back towards the throat for a deeper, lower sound that is not really found in English. It's just weird for Polish speakers to hear it said with a "ch" or "sh" sound.
