Update on the conflict in Ukraine for March 17, 2024…
- Attempts by Ukraine to cross the Ukrainian-Russian border near Belgorod have been defeated by Russian forces;
- The attacks took place as part of a larger public relations campaign involving pin-prick attacks across Russia as Russian elections began;
- Western media has previously reported that attacks deep into Russian territory are met by indifference or even more determined support for Moscow among the Russian public and that such public relations stunts are meant more to bolster flagging Ukrainian morale;
- Ukraine’s cross-border operations come at a time when its forces are being pushed back along the line of contact after losing the heavily fortified city of Avdeevka;
- The US has announced a $300 million arms and ammunition package for Ukraine including additional ammunition for HIMARS and 155mm shells;
- The US claims this package is the result of finding additional funding from previous allotments but is more likely damage control regarding Washington’s inability to properly supply its Ukrainian proxies;
- CNN admits that Russia is producing at least 3 times more artillery ammunition than the US and Europe combined, this follows Western media admissions that Russia is making overall at least 7 times more munitions of all kinds than the collective West;

A PR strategy can work. It is how North Vietnam beat the US, because they sure as hell did not beat the US on the battlefield. And the Ukraine's and NATO's PR strategy has convinced the majority of the US and EU that the Ukraine is still holding its own and Russia only wins through artillery and human wave attacks. I reckon when you are the weaker side in a war a PR strategy is often the only strategy to follow. Paint yourself as the plucky victim and the other as the brutish thug. Thing is, like with Vietnam, it only really works when you can mobilize world public opinion, especially in the country that attacks you, against that government. This is not the case in Russia. And no amount of public support from NATO countries changes the fact that the Ukraine has run out of manpower and weapons and that their NATO benefactors can't make up for it.

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time Russia's national security was compromised once nato began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021. Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO NATO is not a defensive alliance. Nato illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest. Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland. Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”. Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it. Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country. Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list. Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list. There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence). The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) RIP. The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims). The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter. I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion. I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written. Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

Western Governments are doing EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER, to suppress the turnout, and damage cast ballots - and NONE OF IT IS WORKING. In NATO/EU countries, they're threatening to deport people, who visit the Russian Embassy, to cast a vote. In the regions that recently rejoined with Russia - they're trying to attack polling places. The US says it will NEVER recognize Russia's (legitimate) claims on Crimea, and decree the votes coming from it and the rest of what is now Western Russia, are somehow illegitimate. They even scheduled a special meeting at the UNSC, and Russia took the opportunity to mock and expose the hypocrisy of the US and NATO. If it wasn't all so tragic, it would be absolutely hilarious.

I mean, sure, it's easy to say "the West and Russia are fighting, that's to China's advantage" and that's true, but that's not really a masterful Go move made by China. And yeah, China is outperforming Russia in certain metrics, but China also has a 10x higher population than Russia, that's also not really a masterful Go move made by China. China is doing well, but "we happen to have a huge population and the two other major power blocks happen to be at war right now" isn't really China thinking ten moves ahead.

the manipulation of information in Ukraine's favour is reaching the point of absurdity. If you look at Wikipedia, it documents numerous battles in 2022 just so it can say Russia lost them, including every engagement in the opening of the SMO, but it fails to document almost any of the battles in all of 2023, as if none happened. According to Wikipedia, there was no battle of Rabotino, Krynky, the Antonov Bridge, or the Vremevka Ledge... These were battles the media said were happening and that Ukraine was winning.

You gotta love how our politicians go above and beyond when it comes to finding extra money to fund the war. Accounting error, here's an extra couple hundred million. Never see that for anything that would actually help out the people of this country.

But they are still doing it. They haven't learned the bitter lesson from the war in Ukraine yet. The situation in Armenia is unclear ( Macron is meddling in there), the situation in Haiti is also unclear. (that must be the work of the West as well), meanwhile, of course Gaza and Taiwan, or some hot spots in Africa. This is not the end of their 'regime change' plan, I'm afraid, we will hear about many other places set on fire soon. Thank You, Brian. Greetings.

Just a reminder, Brian about France and its teflon President:What is the matter with this teflon character Macron? Has he forgotten Napoleon's fate in Russia, or the Maginot line that collapsed without a fight with the Germans in the outbreak of WWII? And not to speak of the African wars Algeria or the disaster in Dien Bien Phou in Vietnam, and more recently the expulsion of French troops from Niger and the Sahel region of West Africa.French history is full of set backs and defeats and Monsieur Macron seems to want to honour the tradition? The man is a case study and needs some adult supervision, it seems.

I couldn't agree more. Problem I have here in Canada, every one I know supports Ukraine and their fight. ignoring the facts and believing Ukraine will "win". Complete nonsense. The fact as you point out Brian, none of this needed to happen, the whole thing an exercise in American "diplomacy". your'e either with us or against us. It's shameful and could easily lead to a WW III. scenario.

Not every Canadian supports the bs. I'm Canadian, Southern Ontario to be exact. I did not once ever support Ukraine, our own leaders brought up a Nazi to speak, so it goes to show how well versed anyone here with any sort of authority understands the subject. And honestly, after all the things that have gone on, both in the present times and in the past, I've come to conclusion that I think we may be the bad guys in this scenario. Not you or I personally, but rather "us" here in the West.

Brian, thank you for your video! Nothing can frighten Russians, no drones or news. The gist is that we got accustomed to the war. I was involved in humanitarian aid for Russian soldiers, but I didn't feel terrified. I felt very frustrated and some sort of weakness that I can't help everybody. May be this information will be useful for someone who survives stress. The thing that helped me to be positive is meditations. I tried to listen to all types of meditations like Louise Hay or Bob Proctor. But the meditations that could help me are dao meditations by Mantek Chia:" Inner smile", "6 healing sounds". Really Chinese people know the secret how to resist negativity of the world. By the way, Mantek Chia lives in Thailand. We have opportunities to use knowledges of ancient people and find the ways to create harmony in life, just we need to seek. Someone who seeks always finds as we say in Russia

Suppose the US gave $60 billion and found out it is equivalent to 100k artillery shells. We could then conclude each artillery shell costs $600k. Extreme example, but that is basically what has been going on with these 'aid packages'. Moreover, US army recently said US will have to cut their artillery shell production estimate by 25% (to 75k/ month) unless Congress passes an additional $100 billion funding for the army

Russian production is now geared for war-footing and supply-lines are well-established to the Front INSIDE their Border. while the U.S/NATO knows their own People won't fight for them while massive immigration invades their own defenseless borders... Also - who wrote 'Klotzen nicht Klechern"? Respekt to those who learn History, eh.
