Update on the conflict in Ukraine for May 5, 2024…
- Despite US arms package (along with packages from several European nations) Ukrainian defenses continue to crumble and Russian forces continue to gain ground;
- US-provided Ground Launched Small-Diameter Bombs (GLSDB) were meant to extend the range of HIMARS launched guided rockets from 70km to 150km, however, like GMLRS, GLSDBs have been rendered ineffective by Russian missile defenses and electronic warfare jamming;
- NATO and Ukrainian obsession with targeting Crimea and specifically the Crimean Bridge continues despite the strategic irrelevance of doing so;
- Ukrainian brigades continue to disintegrate, calls for building “additional brigades” which would take years are detached from reality;
- Meanwhile, Russia continues expanding military industrial production, increasing the gap between it and Ukraine’s Western backers compounding Ukraine’s strategic crisis;
- Western policy toward Ukraine at best reflects profound ignorance of how modern warfare and military industrial production actually work, at worst is cynically feeding all of Ukraine into a proxy war to maximize the cost of victory for Russia;

They told us that 1) the "invasion" was unprovoked, 2)that RU would run out of everything, 3) that it was not able to sustain sanctions and materials shortages, 4) that they lost the strategic edge, 5)that they lost half their forces, 6)that UKR had regained territory, 7)that RU would capitulate, 8)that UKR were succeeding and NATO would triumph. They never talked about the UKR shelling of Donbass, the decrees discriminating against Russian UKR or the Minsk agreement that would have avoided this bloodbath. @@albertwolanski7688 LOL you tomfool. Iran send them 10 drones that they reverse engineered and a making themselves. And they bought a "believed to be" between 1 and 3 Million shells ("North Korea believed to have exported over 1 million shells to Russia - CNN - November 1, 2023; "North Korea sent more than 3m artillery shells to Russia, *says Seoul*" - Nikkei Asia - February 28, 2024) The Russians have shot for nearly a year in 2022 till early 2023, 50 000 shells a day. 300 * 50 000 = 15 000 000 .. in words: fifteen million. And that's just 300 days And yes they are down to 20 000 a day, because f*ing drones are far more effective and cost the same. The Russians are outproducing the west's 200 000 shells per month by at least 3x (three) ["Exclusive: Russia producing three times more artillery shells than US and Europe for Ukraine" - CNN - Mon March 11, 2024] ["Russian manufacturers are making up to 7 times as much ammunition as Western arms makers, Estonian defense official says" - businessinsider - Sep 14, 2023] That means the Russians if anything did buy those NK shells for the time they ramped up their production to smooth out any dip in the curve. And as NK is also getting ballistic missile tech ... may be it's just tit for tat, "payment in kind". But sure they also use shovels and washing machines chips. Russia being the #2 in highpure silicone producer in the world. Having fabs for up to 14 nm process. You can run FPV drone with AI on 28 nm SOCs and a 300 mm 2 m ingot is good enough for millions of chip of that kind ... You poor slob not even capable of googline for 5 minutes.

Fun Fact about Russia: It was Russia who saved The Union during the American Civil War as they sent their Navy to San Francisco and New York when England and France were just about to enter the war on the side of the Confederates since London created the Confederates. France was already in Mexico making a spear head movement to resupply the Confederates and to open up a Pacific Theatre and to create a port in California. England already amassed 11,000 troops and growing stationed at their Northern Confederacies border now called Canada ready to open a Northern Theatre to divert Union troops away from their Southern Confederacy then to attack The Unions naval blockade. The Union would have been completely destroyed and annexed by those two great powers leaving the Confederates to exist as either a puppet state of London or to be fully brought back into the fold of the British Empire. London was already courting (threatening/bribing) other countries to get involved like Spain while Russia was in talks with Prussia to ally with incase London was to intervene. Seeing all of this Tsar Alexander II wrote a letter to Queen Victoria saying “If you enter in this war it will be a casus belli for all out war with the Russian Empire”. The stage was set for the 1st World War and Russia stopped it. There is also a memorial in San Francisco for the hundreds of Russian sailors who came off their Asiatic fleet ships that died while helping the city put out a fire that threatened to lay waste to it during the War.
@JPJ432
@JPJ432 Ай бұрын
The Russian fleet also threatened to Shell Australian ports along with other British Pacific Colonies if Britain aided the Confederates. A confederate war ship spent a lot of time in Australian waters and was supported by the Australian public, some even signing on as crew members. This Confederate war ship laid waist to the US Pacific whaling fleet and is reported to have fired the last shot in the war. The name of the ship was called the CSS Shenandoah. Its surrender was at Liverpool England where Confederate Commander Bulloch was stationed. Bulloch was the head spy Chief for the Confederates and main go between for London, Montreal, and Richmond. He was heavily involved in the finance of the South with British banking and supplied the south with its warships as most of them were made by the British. He was good friends with those who drafted the Very discriminatory Confederate Constitution and those that would later create the 'Clan'. He was also heavily involved in the assassinations of Lincoln and his cabinet members. He was Also the Uncle to President Theodore Roosevelt (on his mothers side of course) and Teddy greatly looked up to him and learned much from him from a very early age. Teddy called him 'Uncle Jimmy'. This is where Teddy Roosevelt got the idea for the 'Eff Bee Eye' he modeled it almost exactly from Londons 'Em Eye 5'. Russia also helped Thailand (Kingdom of Siam) maintain its sovereignty from being completely Partitioned/Annexed from the British and French around the same time. The very word Thai (ไทย) means 'free man' in the Thai language which is partially to thank to the Russians as they might have ended up being a colony or part of another country/colony if not for their intervention.

Re Ukrainian manpower shortages - my wife spoke to her niece in Odessa a couple of hours ago. They are relying on the precision of Russian missiles to remain safe as the targets are well away from their apartment block. Niece also said that the press-gangs had been reducing their activities lately, mainly because the wives and mothers had been, shall we say, giving the press-gangers a very hard time. There have also been vociferous demonstrations in Kiev by said wives and mothers. Maybe it will be the ladies who finally sort the matter out.

Overall I want to make some additional info on report: 1. Crimean bridge is not significant because there are thousands of kilometers of railroads were built from a Russian territory to newly added territory 2. ATACMS are not a wonder weapon and can be intercepted (15 rockets are already downed) 3. Manpower of AFU mainly was burned in Summer offensive which many propagandists fail to mention and shamefully avoid this topic 4. The more and more problems of will appear towards the end of legitimacy of Zelensky rule and internal problems will rise 5. Russian forces are evolving both technically and tactically which is a normal way of any army that participate in real war 6. NATO is committing suicide giving last reserves of ammo and stuff for Ukraine 7. People start to run away from Ukraine more often Yeah it looks grim

The Crimean bridge is a symbol of Russian affluence and competence. Fun fact, concerning the Kertch Bridge, comparing the "powerful west" with "impotent Russia": nobody in Russia was prepared for the return of Crimea, it happened suddenly. Nevertheless, Russia was able to build a 19 km long railway and motorway bridge across the sea from the mainland to Crimea. In Germany, in divided Berlin, there was a western and an eastern airport (Tegel/Schönefeld). After the reunification it was decided to build a greater, new one for all of Berlin and the surrounding federal estate of Brandenburg. This airport was bound to be finished in 2009 and it opened "only" nine years later, still with a lot of flaws and imperfections.... So much for nowadays western efficiency

An excerpt : Just as the Lancet was the star of last year’s show, it seems now the glide-bomb has moved into the spotlight. The reason is simple: Ukraine hardly uses armor or vehicles anymore, given that they’ve bunkered up and gone fully on the defensive. Thus there’s not much for Lancets to do at the moment. But glide-bombs are precisely the remedy for Ukraine’s defensive, trench-heavy posture, as they shred trenches and cave them in even from non-direct impacts. And given Ukraine’s frontline air defense depletion, Russian fighter-bombers are able to operate with full impunity, launching the glide-bombs at any and all times and directions. Now that Russia is mass-producing heavy glide-bombs, there is almost no possible way for Ukraine to hold ground. Only in places like Avdeevka, with massive fortified underground structures, were they able to withstand the onslaught. But nearly everywhere else that’s left, such as Chasov-Yar now, glide-bombs will wreck top-ground fortifications and trenches, crumpling them even from some distance away. Ukrainians have reported that the Fab-500 rips doors off hinges from 1km away. There is simply no way to hold trenches when the Fabs start arriving on top of them. And as of this writing, there’s said to be a massive Kab/Fab assault on Chasov Yar ongoing. Ukrainian military account is ‘shocked’ at the speed with which Russian forces are advancing into Chasov Yar, and there’s even rumors that Azov Brigade again ‘refused’ orders to fight there: Rezident UA channel corroborates this: #Inside _Our source in the General Staff said that the Armed Forces cannot build adequate defense against the new Russian attack tactics. In all directions, it happens the same way, first 70-90 KABs are dropped to our positions, and then small assault groups come along with artillery positions, which calmly go to the scorched positions of the Armed Forces. The only chance to keep the front-fill positions with tanks at two or three rashes a day, but this method simply leaks out our forces._ simplicius76.substack.com/p/sitrep-41124-zelensky-in-shock-as

Those supply of weapons from usa to ukhraine. Its not meant to help ukhraine. The purpose is either to slow Russia's military capacity either by reducing man power, also a way to funnel money back to usa via military industrial complex. Most likely to fill empty warehouses. But to physical help ukhraine america isn't interested. Ukhraine has lost how many soldiers ? If it where to help ukhraine that would have been prevented. Like all american wars the purpose hardly changes, it may differ but it would be the same purpose. Unlike Russians purpose is completely different.
