2 жыл бұрынA few decades ago, the Maharaj Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja from India showed his kindness and generosity by rescuing stranded Polish children and giving them a home in India.
Today, many Ukrainians, including Ukrainian Hindus and others, are displaced and need help.
Many of these Dharmic Ukrainians even refer to India as their spiritual home. Should India come forward to do more for these victims of war?
Oleg Torgalo is the head of the ‘Ukraine-India Association’, and is a well-known personality in Ukraine. In his country, Ukraine, he has been running an Ayurveda business and has also been involved in many Dharmic activities. He practices 'Gaudiya Vaishnavism' and is deeply connected to India.

Nobody wants a war. Even Russia is being affected by it economically and even their military casualties will be there. But, Putin was helpless to take this step as NATO continued the expansion and aggression. Russia considers it a threat to its security if NATO forces station in Ukraine. I saw a woman trying to quarrel with an armed Russian soldier, but he was not responding. There are no civilian casualties because if they would have been Western media would surely reflect them high. Russian soldiers are operating in a very aim-oriented way as if operating on their own land. It made me think of as if Indian Army in Kashmir. Peace to all!

True but let's just carefully dissect this requirement (as of now) ....... the support by both sides to each other is *purely strategic* . India is one among the largest countries (by landmass and pop.) in the world plus a great market for Russian weapon and crude oil exports. Russia has been sanctioned multiple times by the west and they are used to it. So what would they do to overcome another ? Ensure that they have a market aside from the major ones they deal with and that market happens to be India and China primarily. If India ever became independent in the energy and defense sectors, just watch reaction by Russians. Soviets, French, British and Americans all together had tried to arm-twist and long halt the project of the Cryogenic engine which was being developed by ISRO from it's previous experience with the French Viking Engine. This they did by spreading a false propaganda through the congress Govt. and jailing the leading scientist Shri Nambi Narayanan - exposing him to inhumane torture.... It did stop our progress which if not halted would have made us space leaders wouldn't it have ? Emotions don't play a role in geopolitics which I think you may already know. These top sided news reports are just gimmicks - they are hardly any percentage trustworthy. Having said this, it doesn't mean India shouldn't play it's cards - *IT MUST* ! *National interests in front of all* .

@@harghartiranga2606 I feel for our students stuck in the war zone. I hope they are safe and will return home safe. This is a period of chaos, things of such do happen, and we cannot judge entire country based on such isolated incident. Even in our country people cuss our own people using slur words like gultis, Mallus …etc, but these are isolated incidents we shouldn’t judge entire country. Our prayers should be with the innocent people of both war torn countries , it’s high time the war should end immediately.

This is when the CAA bill can be once again implemented if need be. That's if people want to leave Ukraine and come to India, even if temporarily. I know the bill is mainly designed for Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh, but in such circumstances, which was probably unforeseeable, amendments need to be made to the bill.

15000-20000 is great number. Even in Russia also we have many Krishna devotees. I visited Mayapur ISKCON(in West Bengal, a bit difficult to reach from main city of kolkata) many years back and there were many white foreigners. The environment was great and 24 hours of Kirtan was the best. About the current crisis I support the diplomatic stand of the Indian government but at the same time I feel Indian government can do more to provide aids to the affected civilians in the same way it is sending aids for Afghanistan people.

@@swagatamdas4815 Indian government is not able to aid it's own citizens stranded there what else do you expect. But slowly it looks like things are going to resolve for the people. You compared to Afghanistan. Do you know Taliban isn't bombing anyone! But Russia is bombing Ukrainian cities. In such cases it's very difficult to send or receive aid. All other countries are resisting to fly through their airspace. In that case if you expect India to do extra you should atleast be sympathetic towards that country. Beating up indian students isn't the way. I'm just disappointed that why these Indians didn't vacate when there was time. Edit: But today it looks like they have paid very heavy price. I hope common people, be it Ukrainians or Indians be safe.
