This tiny led video light is comparable to the much more expensive Lumecube and Litra lights. It's tiny, it works and it can swim with you, pretty cool.

You're welcome! It's great little light, I use it quite a lot as it's nice and harsh with no diffusion.

Yes, it’s really cool as an accent light, also love it can be used as a harsh light with no diffusion.

Great review brat - I just ordered this then realised then I will probably never use it! I only film during the day on family trips - not going to be out with 4 young kids and if I were out by myself filming with light at night - my wife would probably think I'm nuts! LOL

I'm sure she won't! It's a pretty cool little light, I use it quite a lot as it's one of the only lights I have that is small and not diffused.

By long pressing the on/off button, that would be my first choice, also by using 100% of the battery, it neither or those work, throw it against the wall, drive over it, try a hammer, and if things really go south burn it in a safe and controlled manner.

Mine just stopped working after almost a year, but amazon are cool and refunding once i return with prepaid. Seller doesnt have stock, but might order another from another seller as i loved it.

For using with a gopro in a way of lightning a scene in a certain color (short distance), would you recommend this one or VL49?

It's very harsh but fairly strong! Sure, it could be good on an explorer trip!

Could you use it a as key light for very portable setup? With a diffusion panel is it soft enough?

@@zaphod280380 Sure! I'd go for a Neewer stand and Neewer diffuser like I had in my example. It's super light, easy to set up and fast.

Can this be used in conjunction with a phone, to give an old camera feel to the photo? (Those with the really bright flash, and like instant cameras)

Sure, you can try that! It's very sharp, harsh light, so you can give that a go!

I guess it's pretty similar, bottom would block the vents, that's the only problem.

As in the vents on the drone, not the light. They are used to keep it cool from over-heating.

Very different light sources, so very different needs. One is soft, one is hard, one is rgb the other is not. It depends what you need it for.

I'd go for the VL-49 in that case, it's a lot softer, and the rgb is great.

Bought two of these. One works fine but the other did not power on. Quality control seems to be an issue.

No way! I'd get in touch with them, they are very good at contact and I'm sure more than willing to get that replaced asap.

Saying its bright is pretty meaningless if you don’t say what your camera settings are. If you’er at iso 100 and F4, yeah it’s bright but if it’s more like iso 2000 and f1.4, not so much.
