Ulnar Nerve Flossing - For individuals affected by ulnar nerve entrapment syndrome, these exercises serve to floss, mobilize, and liberate the ulnar nerve from the encircling tissues. The ulnar nerve is susceptible to compression at various locations, including the wrist, beneath the collarbone, or as it emerges from the spinal cord in the neck region. When the ulnar nerve experiences compression at the elbow, this specific condition is termed "cubital tunnel syndrome." The ulnar nerve flossing exercises aim to relieve compression and restore optimal nerve function across these various anatomical sites.

The ulnar nerve can be compressed at the wrist, beneath the collarbone, or as it comes out of the spinal cord in the neck. When ulnar nerve compression occurs at the elbow, it is called "cubital tunnel syndrome."

exactly my only problem with mine, but I guess they have very limited time for it for an appointment of 30 min or so. Good thing there are these specialists on the internet.

PERFECT!!!!!!!!! Exactly the exercises I needed. and I saw an improvement in a week. After a month, all gone. I have full function and strength back in my arm that was affected.My sincere thanks for providing this information publically.

Can I ask how many times a day you did these exercises? Is the prescribed amount in the video enough? And did you do any other stretches or movements? I know this was from 4 years ago but I'm hoping you will see this comment still.

@@nicholasbray4854 i also had this issue but now i m good.. doing this exercise only for 10 minutes twice a day u need to be very patience in the beginning i got recovered within a month doctor had advised me for surgery procedure but i denied and tried this exercise exceptionally i recovered it was like miracle..u also try i bet u also gonna be fine..

@@shahdclasher2057 mine started 2 weeks ago, and started PT 2 days ago. Ive been considering the surgery for tunnel release mainly because I am limited to 40 PT visits per year and I have injuries in knees, back, shoulders, chest, and hips. So my main concern was if PT dosnt help the nerve issue, and I end up needing the surgery anyway and will have to do PT anyway, why not just do surgery straight off the bat so I dont use up valuable PT sessions. But I will give PT 2-4 weeks and see how I feel. I just dont want to wait too long before I lose function in my fingers permanantley.

Hello! I am a Registered Dental Hygienist (15 years) who has undergone a right shoulder impingement/bone spur surgery, and a De Quervains surgery on the right wrist. My X-rays show several bulging discs, severe loss of neck curvature, a rotated pelvis, and scoliosis. I am no stranger to PT and ART. Your nerve gliding videos and tutorials have been MONUMENTAL in reducing much of my chronic discomfort and pain. I want to thank you for sharing your information, as I truly appreciate the time, effort and care you put into these videos.

LOOK UP BONE BREATHING its an ancient Tai Chi practice and I've heard anecdote of an woman with back problems similar to yours who corrected herself after maintaining this practice every day for 3 years. It may be a long time but definitely worth it and you'll likely enjoy the gradual improvements as time goes on. Also look up Joe Dispenza for self heaing with the mind. He has a book about it called Becoming Supernatural. This guy fixed his back fully through thought alone after getting hit by a truck and refusing surgery. You can find his interviews on youtube. This completely cured some type of elbow pain I was having in my left arm while flexing. I think it was the plate exercise specifically. Thanks a ton!

I'm having ulnar nerve entrapment for thee last 3 weeks, and i was quite tensed and even thought that its never gonna go away. But yesterday i found your this video, and did all the exercises for nearly 3-4 times and slept with a belief that i will be OK tomorrow morning and now i'm feeling a 100 times better. No pain at all, and i only feel a bit of numbness in 2 fingers while holding things... Rest is OK 100%, i dont even remember i have UlnarVein Entrapment. Thanks for the video !

thank you soooooo much. i recently was in a cast for almost 2 months w a complete fracture of the distal end of the radius, but its been my ulnar nerve that has been affected. I am a therapeutic bodyworker, and i get occasional shooting sharp pain w only certain movements, but def its my ulnar nerve that is affected. However, discussing w all manner of health care professionals, me being very specific about what my issues are and what functionality i'm lacking, its like no one wants to listen. even the hand therapist i went to gave me exercises that haven't done anything for my primary issue. i've never heard of nerve flossing before, but it makes total sense, and after watching this and trying it, i can tell already it is going to help. thank you so much for posting. i wish i live closer.

THANK YOU!!! I've been in considerable pain for the past two days now, and tension on my right shoulder/elbow/wrist for several years. I tried the exercises as the video was playing and can already tell they will help get the ulnar nerve away from irritation.

I have problems with ulnar nerve on my left arm for almost 5 years. I am 24 years old and recently I hit my arm just in the elbow directly in the nerve...Nasty feeling :/ now I do these exercises and I can proudly announce that they really help, even the first day now I experience a great relief. Renz Drew It's good for now. I'm avoiding to support my arm when sitting on the desk on my elbow. And all is good now. Going to the gym and also exercising the forearm helps me a looot!

I had an accident a few years ago and severed my ulnar nerve, artery and tendon, some of these excercises were a part of my physical therapy and really helped!

Fantastic video! This helped me about a year ago, and I had forgotten the entire issue I had until I just started having the same problem at my inner left elbow the other day. I realized how much it seemed to change when I did some stretches, and remembered this video. INCREDIBLE relief after just doing the exercises a few times!! BRAVO!

I have bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome. I have started to get cubital tunnel syndrome in both hands as well. Just yesterday it was really flaring up in my right arm. I did these exercises and the next day I felt much better. It started flaring up this morning in my left arm and I repeated those exercises for my left arm and I already feel better. Thank you for showing us these exercises.

I am so happy I found this! I bike at least two hours a day and on a recent 7-hour ride I lost all feeling in my ring and pinkie finger. I noticed a drastic improvement upon doing these exercises for the first time, and after a week of doing them every second day my hand is getting closer and closer to back to normal, thank you!!

Thanks. I had lost a lot of flexibility in my arm and wrist because I was afraid of hurting myself due to my Deypeutren's Contractions. Ends up my ulnar was the issue. These exercises expand upon what my doctor/pt had shown me and having them on video is a great help.

thank you so much for this. I am a bodywork therapist and yoga instructor and recently sprained my sprained my wrist due to repetitive stress. After the sprain healed and the swelling subsided I was left with a numb tingling on the ring finger. I have been doing exercises and movement that has probably kept it from getting worse, but these specific exercises are stellar!

Hey guys, I found your video while doing a Google search a few months ago... I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am to you for putting this online. Physiotherapists and osteopaths had given me the correct diagnosis (my ulnar nerve was stuck) but couldn't help me with my problem. I immediately started feeling better when I first did your exercises (and specifically the "waiter's plate" exercise). Again, thanks so much for doing this and keep up the good work!

Thanks so much for this great video! I've had numbness in my left pinky and ring finger for about 3 years. I ride dirt bikes and at times it was hard to grip my left handlebar properly because of the numbness. I had no idea it was the ulnar nerve that caused this. I have the feeling back in my pinky and ring finger after doing the flossing exercise just a few times. I also have better grip strength in my left hand now. Thank you!!!!

Wow these are amazing. I've looked for stretches and exercises for the ulnar nerve but found nothing that targets it as well as this. I definitely feel it in my compressed ulnar nerve and I expect this to work wonders soon.

Im so glad I found you guys. Ive been having sharp pains flash across my left hand pinkie finger sporadically for a couple of years now. I asked my doctor about it and all he said is, "Oh it looks like some pinched nerve issue. Let me know if it gets worse.". It got worse. The side of my hand has numbness and tingling now, and the side edge of my wrist swells up a lot. Going to give these exercises a try before I give my doctor more of my money.

Hi, I had a client, rock climbing enthusiast with history of chronic ( 6-7 months), recurrent sensory symptoms along the ulnar nerve distribution without any motor loss. He had seen a chiropractor had few manipulation which did not help. After initial testing neural tension tests were positive with no signs of cervical restrictions. tests for TOS were negative. I prescribed him these exercise to be done twice daily for a week & boom! all his symptoms showed a 100% improvement.Thank you very much

I'm a church organist/accompanist and I've been experiencing nerve pain in my pinky when I play, and an elbow that cracks very noticeably on extension. Just did these exercises for the first time and the elbow cracking has stopped! Excited to continue these exercises for a few weeks to see if they will help with my pinky pain too.

thank you for posting these exercises, im a cyclist also and 4 months ago my whole right side of my body went numb from head to toes while riding, now I only have it in my right hand, knee and foot, after months of being treated for a TIA I went to a different neurologist and she determined this is what I have, she recommended wrist splints and put me on folic acid pills 1mg, im definitely gonna incorporate these excercises in to my daily routine and riding... let you know if it improves

I've had shoulder pain for a very long time and have tried different exercises but nothing has ever really worked...UNTIL I tried these! In just a matter of days my pain has all but disappeared! Thanks for posting this. I've been resisting having the recommended surgery in hope of finding a treatment. I'm hoping this works.

Oh my! I have had serious issues with this for a month now and scheduled an appointment with a specialist that I am going to cancel now. Thank you for posting this! The server plate exercise fixed me, I was having horrible pain and reduced flexion in my wrist before and it's getting better already. I'm also icing my elbow which seems to help too!

I just had this symptom that is very more likely a problem of the Ulnar nerve cpnpressed. Looking forward for my home exercising approach. Video was very well explained and executed! Thumbs up from me!

my boyfriend hurt his elbow a couple years back snowboarding, but recently he has noticed pain/stiffness in the wrist and pinky and ring fingers (he's a baker and there are a lot of repetitive movements in shaping the dough). Got pretty painful within the last couple days-- we did a few of these exercises and he immediately noticed some relief. thanks so much for posting it!

As John commented , this is great for musicians. I am bassist and my hands went numb this week from practicing. After 2 days of icing and rest i was still feeling the numbness come back, i stumbled across this video and did the stretches and now for the last 2 hours i been able to work on what i need to. There is some weakness still and i am going easy but this definitely helped. Thank you soo much
