That is a great compilation! Here in Greece 20VT is one of the most popular tuning engines! Many of the videos in your complication are Greek. My dad has a Škoda Octavia VRS 20VT but it's stock (180hp) and it runs LPG in combination with regular fuel. Keep up with those complications man!

+revvitup Yeah! And they've been installed in lots of models! Octavia,Golf,Polo,Fabia,Ibiza,Leon,Cordoba,TT,A3,A4,A6,S3 and probably few that I've forgotten. Stock they came from 150hp-220hp but tuned there are many 600hp+ ones!

I drive the stock 1.8T 150 Hp engine, with BMC Airbox und Novus exhaust and this little k03 crap Turbo, make so much fun! :D

hi i have a Skoda octavia 2002 1,8t and have some questions. my Engine waring light is on (engine running lean bank 1 "p0171") have heard it's a common problem white this engine? and I want more power from my engine, what's the cheepest? ( I live in Norway so everything is expensive anyway) is ~850 dollars mutch for remap(chipp) the computer. to 200hp?

TheSvisla. p0171 should be oxygen sensor i got mine tuned for 100 dollars but I live in USA

TheSvisla try cleaning the MAF sensor and IAT sensor, if that doesn't work look at the 02 sensor for issues

To achieve higer output, does the Turbo need to be changed? And chip chuned?

+love2understand For around 220hp, you only need a ecu reflash (chiptune). For around 270 : exhaust+chiptune+filter For around 300-330 : Exhaust+Filter+Chiptune+Bigger Turbo For 350-600+ : Exhaust,Filter,Chiptune,Very Big Turbo,All Internals changed

You can do 350 at the wheels on stock internals. Although it's best if you don't go over 300 WHP without doing internals, it's possible. Still though, 300WHP is like 380 at the crank.

hey guys,need help for my 2004 1.8 20vt (180 hp orijinally) .It is stage 2 now. original turbo, exhaust, intercooler, chipped..nearly 230 hp. there is a problem eith the ignition system. would u help me with this?

Check the spark plugs and if they look good you must need a larger coil pack.

Stage 1 is chip and exhaust Stage 2 is bigger turbo etc.

+BrainDeath89 They are good engines. Nope, not 5 cylinders, but 5 valves per cylinder (20V), instead of 4 valves per cylinder like most 4-cyl engines (16V)

+CarHub yes, i know xD i wanted to say if i drive 20 valves, then it has to be a 5 cylinders :) for 4 cylinders i have my Kadett Turbo swap, 2 litre 16v, u can see him in my Account :)

+Raphael Letourneau The stock rev limiter is a tick under 7,000 on my 1.8t. I have heard the stock valvetrain can do 7,500 before requiring upgrades.

Simple, just get a 1.8t octavia and install the DV backwards or block it off somehow. Air would go back to the turbo, turbo wouldnt be very happy but it'd sound like this.

@@ryszardwitek2563 i had a friend who blocked his factory diverter valve, it only bent one of his blades a little, it worked fine for 3 years until he went big turbo on his 1.8T
