Whomever thought watching sandblasting would have such a therapeutic effect on people especially when you do it block by block. To watch the rust and paint systematically disappear is great videography. How long will it take for the raw metal to start oxidizing?

😊 thankyou. Normally it will keep ready for paint around 3 week but this will very drastically with humidity and if you can keep it dry from the elements best thing to do is apply a coat of rust inhibitor that's paint friendly ASAP this way its easy to coat with a pump and spray bottle and gives so much more protection before any paint is applied 👍

@Barnsley_brev 😂 it was supposed to be a M and a B in 1 but like every part of my business I've had to do it all myself and graphics design is lacking in my skill set but it was free 😂 I didn't really think it through it is quite hard to guess 😂 not only hours minutes aswell 😬 I will have to follow it though now tho 😵 I will definitely do something similar soon but a little easier to get a winner 😂 the cap will be hand printed by me 😬 every aspect 😎 I was going to make a little mech shop but thinking that through I would have to do every part of that too and I really don't know if I will have time obversly it would be at a proper Yorkshiremen prices value for money and everything I was planning on doing been cheap or cheaper than any other because I don't believe in the way youtubers are pumping for a career out of something they claim to enjoy that should be enough in its self 👌

A really clean job, the surface will be perfect for further work. I think you definitely have to be careful not to remove too much of the metal hull. I would plug the inlet and outlet holes with a rag or a rubber stopper. That's a lot of pressure to use to sandblast around the edge of the holes. There are various valves connected and they shouldn't get anything.

Thankyou 😊 it doesn't remove good metal 👍 if you see I don't do a direct hit on holes so anything behind will be fine it's not as high pressure as you would think 100psi it's the volume of air that's doing the work 100psi isn't high pressure compared to say power washing at 3000psi + The holes on the boat would be various drainage or exhaust not really a problem if dust gets inside 👍

What media do you use? Ive been blasting and painting for over thirty years usually to SA2.5 and SA3 when we had to thermal metal spray the steelwork.

Looks like that boat is in really god condition underneath previously botched paint job. The customer is going to end u with a top notch paint job now it's stripped right back.

Hi Mick. This might sound a stupid, even childish question but I know nothing about media blasting. What would happen if you put a hand in front of the nozzle, would it strip your flesh off to the bone? Do you fancy demonstrating it with a chicken leg or something?

If you catch yourself it would be similar to a gravel rash but if you leave it on for any amount of time it will dig in and blow flesh away and bone wouldn't stand a chance 👌👍
