I’ve told you this on multiple occasions, but I love the fact that you do skincare as well as beauty. And your recommendations aren’t just “feel good” products. They’re “good for the skin” products. Thank you so much. I just turned 51 and my skin is getting drier by the day - although it’s always been dry.

Great video! I had eczema on my legs years ago and a friend gave me her prescription for clobetisol propiniate. I probably butchered the spelling! That cream basically healed my skin. I have not had a flair up in years! Maybe something you can ask your doctor about. Have a wonderful day!

If you ever forget your hand lotion a quick and cheap and easy way for short-term would be chapstick I just apply it like I would on my lips and it stays moisturized until bedtime until I can get the Vaseline with the glove on!

I have several friends in your line of work and we all have eczema. This Christmas I gifted First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration & Skin Protectant. Within 2 weeks they were all telling me it was a gift that works! Eczema improved more than with items the dermatologist had given. No dry heels, elbow, hands and it absorbs in immediately with no tackiness. It comes unscented and they have many other products. Filled with Colloidal Oatmeal. It has a nice price point and you can find it at Ulta, QVC, and Amazon, plus other places. The husbands and children love it.We live in M.I. so cold weather with dry air from indoor heating. I have never recommended anything on social media so that says a lot. Hope you try it and your itching and dryness subsides. Good Luck.

Elle, I love that you have spoken about L’occitane! It’s not reviewed enough and it’s the best body and face skin care available (in my opinion). I go through a bottle of supple skin oil in about 2 weeks 😬😌. I mentioned to the s.a. that I felt it needed to come in a barrel size or at least have the refills like the shower oil does and she told me I was using it wrong, she said I should just mix a couple pumps in with the almond cream, or whichever Moisturizer I am using on my body... I chuckled... silly girl 😂 that might be okay for the warmer months but my skin (since turning 50) is Sahara dessert dry and this is the only product that works for me. The Immortelle Divine line is the only line I can use since I woke up on my 50th birthday with red, flakey, very irritated dry facial skin. I tried all kinds of products to try to help my poor skin and it didn’t work so when L’occitane did work I knew I was going to be paying a pretty penny every few months for my skincare but it has truly been worth it. I still can’t use any of my old skincare products ... everything stings and burns my face, I don’t get what happened, literally overnight. I can’t even use cetaphil without feeling a burning sensation 😞 The odd thing is that I had super oily skin before that fateful morning of my 50th. I do supplement with Jose Maran Argan oil during the day, I can’t go without an oil at all and that doesn’t burn my face when I workout. I used the Argan oil before trying L’occitane and it did not help. Have you heard of this happening and do you have any recommendations? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us😁

I was introduced to dry brushing on a cruise! No kidding. My legs get so scaly in the winter if I cross them putting on stockings I leave a little scaling behind. The dry brushing helps, but at my age I can’t brush to vigorously. Great info! Thanks 👏

I am a new subscriber from Nova Scotia and enjoy your videos very much. I had eczema very badly as a child (due to food allergies mostly) and one of the things that broke me out was soapy water of course. I have outgrown the allergies but still have very dry skin and my hands would be the first place to start to break out again. As an adult I suffered with very bad PMS and there is a correlation ! Eczema takes something out of our body and one of the ways to get 'it' back is with Evening Primrose Oil. I started taking cold pressed E.P.O. capsules plus watched for products with it as a major ingredient and have had very good luck with that.

I hear you on the dry legs!! My legs look reptilian if I don't use lotions! Lol. Been using a lactic acid lotion and also a retinol lotion alternating days. It helps quite a bit. However, I don't suffer from eczema. Don't know how that would work. My daughter also has eczema on her hands, so thanks for those tips for fellow dry skin sufferers:)

Thanks Elle, I really enjoyed this. It would be nice to learn more about body brushing. I remember reading about this when I was a teen, but I really never understood exactly how to do it. So, I bought myself a body brush and me being me wound up with very sore red skin. LOL those tips about dealing with eczema are really wonderful. Thank you so much. I love ahava also. I first found it in Israel several years ago when I was able to travel. Thank you for that tip about drying yourself off right away. I'm guilty of just wrapping the towel around myself and moving on to my face. your facial skin was absolutely glowing today!💖💖

I caught onto you saying that your legs itch every day because they're dry if you already have eczema I would suspect that you have a slight case of it on your legs also and I would not be using any body washes if that's the case. The only thing I've ever been able to use since I have eczema all over my body since I was born is Dove soap and the only over-the-counter medicine per say that I have ever found to work is Jergens Ultra healing after I take a shower. which having eczema you're not supposed to take a shower everyday either lol! Just because we're on the subject the only thing I found for my hand eczema is Vaseline with a cotton glove at night for a few nights in a row until it starts acting up again. I hope this helps! I'm going to look into the drybrush since that would be a good thing for blood flow into my dry skin maybe I'll pump it up a little haha!

Dry brushing fist-bump! I used to do it every day, I was taught to dry brush before showering, then shower, then apply a light oil while the skin was still wet. I was using sweet almond oil but it created such a slick tub that I eventually got out of the routine altogether. I've always wanted to get back in the habit but I've been trying to find a good oil or moisturizer that I like that I could use in the tub because once I've got my towel around me it's time to go-go-go! I might have to try these oil sprays you mention and/or just the one shower wash. I tried the Jergen's Wet Skin, is that the bad one that you couldn't remember? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, it goes on so darn easy and doesn't make my tub slick but I feel like anything THAT easy has got to have a huge downside.

Elle you look absolutely gorgeous. I LOVE the lip combo. I have REALLY dry skin as well. It's worse in the winter as I live in New York. But I put an oil on after the shower follwed by a body butter. I do want to try a dry oil because sometimes I don't have alot of time in the morning to wait for the oil to absorb before I apply the body butter. I really would like to start dry brusing and I also want to get a good sugar scrub or something. I loved this video.

I have a question about when you dry brush. I have dry brushed also but I do every part of my skin starting from my feet to my arms to my heart for the lymphatic system. What I'm wanting to know is do you get massive muscle and joint pain when you dry brush? I do and it usually starts towards the end of the day and can last for 3 days. It actually feels as if I have exercised full force after not exercising for years. You know the kinda feeling you get when Latin acid builds up when you do over exercise and it builds up. I was just wondering and I have asked other people on you tube that has dry brush videos but they never get back to me. Hope to hear from you , god bless.💕

Hey love!! if I can be direct it sounds like toxin and lactic acid build up. When I dry brush I make sure to drink a ton of water to flush that out. So do you do that?
@kimsikorski5691
@kimsikorski5691 6 жыл бұрын
Elle Leary Artistry I drink water but nothing extra. I will try it again and make sure I drink extra water. I did notice that it does wake you up after you do it and your skin does feel a lot better and softer but the pain was to much for me to handle. I must have a lot of toxins that need to get out of my body. Just shows you that the natural stuff that has been out there forever actually does work. 😊 Thank you for getting back with me. God bless.💕

I did start using sunflower oil after watching your video on it, and it has improved my eczema 100%. I am going to try plain almond oil next, but is it okay to use almond oil on your face? 💝

I have tried oils and dry oil. I don't like how it feels on me. My doctor told me to use products that has no scents in it. So i am still on the hunt for lotions that might help.Also if anyone knows what will help with scars? I don't wear tanks anymore because of it.

The Lush cosmetics line has fabulous in or out of shower body conditioners. Ro's Argan is my favorite. Love their shower jellies as well. Great line, check them out if the are in your area, even better to shop at the store. ://www.lushusa.com.

No hate but just so your viewers aren't misinformed. None of the L'Occitane products are fragrance free. They all contain artificial fragrance. Also the shower oil is not sulfate free. Sulfate is the second ingredient on the list.
