I usually think of it from the perspective of women I know who have had miscarriages. Often it’s quite early in the pregnancy and they are devastated that they have lost their baby - not a clump of cells, not a parasite, not something they’re incubating - but an actual baby.

Because like it or not abortion up to a certain point is leagal. It comes down to bodily integrity. Very early on and for the majority of pregnancy the fetus or baby can not exist or live without the mother. Whereas the mother can and does exist and live with or without the gamete, embryo, fetus, & or baby.

Well. Morals are subjective. There’s facts and lies, sure, but “right and wrong,” in term of morals, is completely subjective. Always has been always will be.

subjective is an opinion based on your personal belief. ex.) Mark said the sky is blue. objective is a based solely on observable or reliable facts. ex.) The sky changes through various colours throughout the day with the differing positions of the sun. Morals are personal principles that rarely change. ex.) Maura believes that it is immoral to hunt, because killing animals is wrong. Ethics are external rules that vary between environments. ex.) Mark believes it is ethical to kill deer because he hunts them for dinner to feed him & his 5 children. Right & wrong is too general & your own personal subjective beliefs can affect what you believe is right & wrong.

@@cajunking5987Morals are objective. It’s on an instinctive level. Humans instinctively do not want to kill. There are exceptions, sure, but the majority of humanity instinctively do not want to kill others of their kind. I would call that objective.
