I'm very interested to see how the trike mount works out. To get it effective , safe , user-friendly, and durable at first attempt is a tall ask. Sure, are guinea piging it, Matt? Necessity is the mother of invention. So here we go.

So Matt…..I’ve watched this one for the 2nd time and iv come to realize in just observing….have you thought about you getting older and the toll of taking that heavy beast on and off the van is going to have on your back and legs and what ever else…..it just hit me I’m like man……I know I would get so tired of having to hoist that sucker up all the time…..there has to be an easier way to get it up there like a mechanical hoist of some sort kinda like how a tow truck hooks under a car and drags and hoist it’s on the back of the truck. Maybe you can come up with something, I’m just concerned for you bud, don’t want you to be somewhere exploring and trying to unload or load the trike and you throw your back out or knee pop out of place ya know, just looking out my guy ❤

I would need a winch system up to to help me load it up. It would be great if they develop a strong and system for vans.

I like that your reverse camera system can also keep an eye on the trike. How did the hinges hold up on the ride back to Michigan? I'd be pushing up and down on that door every so often when you open it to see if there is any wear. Easy enough to replace if need be down the line anyhow.

Matt that van is looking sooooo cool, my question is are your going to use some type of cover on the trike to keep dirt and stuff off the road on the trike and also when it is raining and your are traveling how will you keep[ the trike dry?

Would it be easier to mount the trike on the back with the seat removed and the trike folded?

Will your view thru your rear windows be affected with your planned upgrade?

Please check the load frequently. I do not like this setup. I believe it to be too heavy. Understand, the issues of having the "live load" under stress while in motion is the danger. The impact of motion, from all directions can and will move everything. Plus the total weight load of the system plus your tire, bike, etc... just too much. You should consider a modified hitch with multiple receivers for a platform and a sturdy bumper mount swing spare mount system. Best of luck to you. Enjoy the ride.

This is an example of Stubborn and not so bright. How to spend a lot of money too, unnecessarily. Who with an RV in their right mind carries a space hog Recumbent Trike ?? Mounting a two wheel bicycle would be easy. So you paid to obstruct you limited natural rear view and are now dependent on the even more limited rear vied of the rear view camera. Plus you no longer have 270° doors and your hinges are overloaded and will need frequent replacing at $175.00 per hinge plus labor. You could get away with the Tire and gas can But the Trike is not going to withstand all the vibration. It Will be an expensive fail when it falls off. Is this a good plan ??? I do not think so.
