You did a great job Sherry. Nothing is worse than looking for something that you know you have, but cannot find it. Organization is a must for the crafter, woodworker, gardener etc. We installed those wood racks in our shed and they are wonderful. Your hubby seemed so genuinely surprised and thankful for all your efforts❤.

.. ..Miss Sherry, I first off Commend you ,for being so open and sharing your Garage... dont be embarrassed! We ALL have / have had Spaces that we have " let go " for reasons ... don't feel alone ! I am a former Professional Organizer/ Housekeeper ,and even I have a few issues , lol. ! Also, I was going to mention start cleaning g in ' Zones ' , and it is less overwhelming. I also don't ALWAYS " declutter " first... I declutter as I " go along ", depending on what I'm working on....so understand about doing that. And keeping the Manuals in a Zip Lock Bag ...👏🏻👏🏻.. I do that, and in my kitchen,so I know where every Manual to something is. What an awesome Surprise for your husband ....to see his response and Appreciation was so great ! 😊🙂 You did a lot, and I'm sure it now feels so much lighter and better access to everything! .... And provided Inspiration to others to start working on something that perhaps seems daunting, but it's do- able !

Man, this is a time,y episode! My husband is on a mission to clean up the garage so he can have the floor coated. He’s been painting and repairing the sheetrock. My husband was in the room when I played this video. I had to tell him it wasn’t aimed at him! It didn’t cost much to get organized with the cabinets and tool holder. Now if I can just get rid of one kid’s apartment stuff. One moved back in for awhile. I think there’s hope for our garage. We can’t get even one car in it. My husband has his cement mixer in it too. He always wanted one so he got it. We don’t have basements in Dallas and attics get too hot, so keeping my closets organized in the house is really important. Thankfully I have walk-in closets. Thank you for sharing your garage clean up with us. I think there’s hope for us!

Sherry, my garage is on my list. I bought my house a year ago and the half where I used to park my truck is the location for a lot of boxes that movers brought in late last summer. I really appreciate your organizational ideas for different items. I have a bit more outdoor landscaping first. But my goal is to begin the process of sorting through all of the totes and boxes in June. I will be using some of your ideas for sure. I understand that what is a mess to one person may not be a mess to another. My hubby’a things are all-consuming in our garage I did clear out some space just by putting things away in their designated spots. I would love for our garage to look even half as nice as yours.

Love the transformation. Great idea to use transfer on door instead of wreaths. Metal cabinets make so much sense. Mouse proof, lighter than particle board and adjustable shelves. Wonder where all the cushions went? You certainly earned the foot rub. Happy to know you will be working in a prettier space. The fern looks great, but maybe hang a smaller one so you can still work on the cabinet top. TFS. Happy Earth day, all!😊

Great job Sherry! My dream is to clean out my garage and turn my dad's old workbench into my craft area. I have an old shop light over the bench, but I love those LED lights you put up. Once it's warm enough to keep the garage door open I'm going to roll up my sleeves and get started. 😊

This was such a great video. We did a complete “makeover” of our 3 bay garage with all kinds of storage for my art studio and some craft/makeover supplies. We even installed vinyl tile on the floor. I have to update the organization at least once a year since the busier you are with working in the area, it seems things get out of order. But it is so worth it and we have a neat garage with room to park our cars. I wish more of our neighbors did an organization of their garages so that they finally actually use them for parking their autos instead of leaving them out. Thanks again for a great video.

Sherry, you have inspired me to try again and go into the garage & clean and organize. I haven't been able to since my husband passed away. My heart just sinks and i breakdown crying, screaming and praying asking Jesus to help me. My husband worked in it almost everyday. It is a mess with his things everywhere. You've encouraged me to make it mine now. Maybe once I do that and the children take most of his tools, etc., except what I'll need; I'll finally feel like it's my space now. I'll forever feel his spirit in there. 😥💔🕊

I just made arrangements for our neighbor to store my riding lawn mower so I'll have room to clean and organize our garage. The garage, being an old carriage house, has a large area intended for a carriage and two side rooms, besides; one for horses the other for tack, etc. so I already have zones. It's that I drag stuff in and put it anywhere I can find a spot between cleanings. Plus leaves have blown in and squirrels have somehow gotten into some of my garden supplies. Rain is expected here tomorrow. Think I'll take your old idea of a trash can to hold some of my garden tools. Seldom used garden tools are already stored in an upright pallet standing against the wall. I plan on using a leaf blower more than a broom, and hoping to add a potting bench. Thanks for the encouragement. Your hubby seemed delighted. Mine won't notice.😂

Gotcha beat! We have a 34 year old fridge that like you we use for extra beverages. Your garage is so well organized! I really like all the clever extras you showed that improved the storage and work spaces. So how many times have you wandered into the garage just to see how good it looks? I just recently reorganized my linen closet after having tossed things into it and got rid of sheet sets that no longer fit our new mattress. I can't tell you how many times I've opened that closet just for the satisfaction of seeing how well organized it looks. I really admire how you are able to do everything on your own! S.

Looks so nice, neat, clean, organized! I know this took time, but definitely worth it!!! Before my husband died. We tackled our small storage space in our carport: I thought it would only take a few hours, but it actually took 8 hours fir that space!!! Before we worked in it the space was stuffed to the door and we couldn't get in, let alone find anything! Afterwards it was neat, organized, tidy. Now he's gone on to Heaven but every time I go in my storage room I think of him & our laughs together over that project and it's a sweet memory. Glad you were able to make your husband happy! 😊💖
