Well, I did end up writing a love letter to my childhood sweetheart about a week ago. Keep in mind that we last saw each other 15 years ago. It was probably the craziest thing I've ever done but it paid off. She wrote back and now we're planning a date. I guess Jeff Bezos' "regret minimization framework" really does work. Seriously. One thing that I learned the hard way, though; apply the perfume before you write on the letter. I did it the other way around and underestimated how powerful the sprayer was. It pretty much ruined the letter for me. So if anyone is reading this, take notes.

A good starter fountain pen is a Lamy Safari, dip pens are also inexpensive, that's real old school as you'll need an ink bottle to dip. Hope you give it a try...

The Goulet Pen company is a really cool mom and pop online company that make really cohesive youtube videos about how to use and choose and maintain fountain pens that I also highly reccomend.

Like, kinda starting out each entry with "Hi," or "Dear," with the person's name after.
