Cold War's Outbreak was one of the most successful Zombie spinoff modes in Zombies history. The first open-world zombie experience made its debut back in 2021 and it was exciting, to say the least! But with so many Main Objectives, Side Objectives, World Events, Rewards, Loot, Enemies, and Easter Eggs... You certainly need some sort of Ulitmate Guide! Something you didn't mention are the Phase Tears, which by themselves aren't really worth a mention. However, if you are playing solo, jumping through all 4 phase tears in a region will count as completing a world event and will grant the appropriate amount of points (except on Zoo for some reason)

Fact: After you complete the black chest event the lost soul will thank you and will also help you by stopping zombies from trying to kill you when doing some objectives, you can hear him say “They shall suffer” and “They cannot take you” its because he is stopping the zombies from trying to kill you because you saved him

Decided to do the EE for fun again on outbreak today and found Ronald Raygun on round 1 doing the orb trial. Even got myself some footage, spotted him behind a fire hound

I'm here to level up weapons for the Dark Aether grind. Was told Outbreak was the most efficient way to do it but I find getting around tedious and slow paced. This guide helps because I was killing random hordes for weapon xp but never have enough points for anything else when I should have been going into objectives first

Not mentioned in regards to wonder weapons in Outbreak -- fishing. I think i've gotten more WW from fishing than I have from trials.

Me too, I wish all the events came back regularly. I also wish season 1, 2, 3, etc. got reactivated for the next year's cycle for those of us who missed some of the Battle Passes or whatever.

Note about the Fury Crystals: Consider yourself lucky that you can get Death Perception to make it easy to find them. The Death Perception perk wasn't added until season 5 of the game's life cycle.

Tried outbreak for the first time and was initially just planning to go as far as I wanted using this guide. I was just on the fifth zone completing one of those radios side missions in that grassy area only to later discover that I was actually doing the easter egg! I just thought it was another side quest until I got to the missle silo in ruka and saw a cutscene play. I was so surprised to find that I actually managed to complete about half the main quest on my own. I figured since I was this far why not finish it off. Pulled up mrrolfwoffles and got all the way to the legion boss fight after about 30-45 mins. Then I got wiped. Didn’t go down the entire game until that blasted boss fight. I had already done two main quests by myself on this game so I thought this one couldn’t be too hard. I was wrong, it was absolutely ridiculous especially since I was in the eighth zone by this time. The zombies were super sprinters like the WaW Verrückt zombies so I could barely have any space to shoot legion. I only managed to destroy one of the orbs after like 8 mins so yeah it was pretty rough

For the aether canister retrieval mission I stage 2 vehicles by the deposit truck then use 1 vehicle per each canister. Works well for me.

In the map with the snow in the lake there is a black chest that says you dont have the right type of gun to open it..i have tried everything...you know anything about that to help ?

To open this chest I think you need a Wonder Weapon, namely the D.I.E. Shockwave. Note: The Ray Gun or R.A.I. K-84 won't work.

Not sure about online since I'm on PC. But you can 100% play this by yourself in your own world with no other players. Which is great!

You can play this on local player of course but all your perks and field upgrades won't be leveled up. Although if it helps, if you want to play local player with a friend and still keep those upgrades, if you simply access the online servers and then turn it to local from the menu, perks, field upgrades, skills, and custom blueprints persist.

they're on ur minimap. They look like bikes, hinds, and tanks, but unless you're specifically looking for them, they are pretty hard to spot.

Yeah but they suck. I don't play outbreak but randos are greedy, steal kills, hoard points, leave or ragequit for no reason, or force exfil. Play solo

after round 8-10 all the zombies remain the same difficulty.....just a matter of enduring 100 rounds. I play all the time and exfil at round 8-12 cuz thats when everyone leaves or dies so i gotta chopper the exfil
