It's time for one of our craziest - and heaviest - drag races yet!
Thanks to Daniel from @thisisashville we've brought together seven different HGVs to go head-to-head over the quarter-mile! And of course, @Y14nny has joined us for the ride, too!
There's a whole host of different trucks here. For example, we've got Mat in a tipper truck that's packing a huge 13-litre engine that'll produce 410hp. And then you've got Daniel in an arctic lorry that also comes equipped with a 13-litre engine, but this one will produce 500hp!
All we know is, we have no idea how this one's going to play out! Keep watching to see who snatches the 🏁!

Love the video, but Daniel was right. When a HGV is unloaded and you have 12 or even 8 gears, you need to skip some or you will spend more time shifting than accelerating. In most HGVs, first gear is extremely short and only used when pulling lots of weight uphill.

True I was working in Man TGX 18.440 with 12 gears, fully loaded around 46T (25T of load) even on little uphill it went to second

@@nathanb2100 I have reported the bots For my sins my career has involved writing things that probably enable these bots to work for peole with low skill. One espresion I use is if you make something idiot proof they will upgrade the idiot. These idiots are still awaiting a reboot.

The most important aspect about trucks when it comes to power is the amount of torque which I notice is rarely ever mentioned in these truck races.

Other channels do TOp gear style stuff and I honestly find it painful to watch people trying to replicate Top Gear.. there is one where 3 guys went on a long trip and they bought each other gifts, made me switch off and watch Top Gear (Not into tribute acts)

Great content once again! There are plenty of crazy trucks in the UK that would gladly take a part in a race like that, V8 Scanias, Volvos and Mercs. Would be great to see more content with different crazy vehicles. Keep it up Mat!

If you don’t like the bouncy seat you can dump the air out of the seat. Press the furthest forward button on the side of the seat to drop it all the way.
