A tour of my side hustle. My home garage and toolbox tour. I love working on cars on my free time and have worked hard to build up my garage to what it is.

Snap-on now owns CDI

MAC Tools is owned by Stanley Black + Decker (who also own DeWalt), so it's just a red DeWalt. They MIGHT have tuned the electronics for a different torque curve, or possibly made a 'parts bin special' of DeWalt's impacts to tailor it to automotive use- but to my knowledge its just do a red casing.

That white Snap On is a beauty. I’m thinking a year or two out, I’m probably going to be after an Epiq. But specifically in Sapphire Blue.

As mentioned in the comments, the Mac is basically Dewalt. The main difference, I was told, is the exterior plastics and rubber overmold. It's made from oil and chemical resistant materials, so they won't 'swell' or soften from exposure to harsh chemicals...

I use to have the high torque Milwaukee and honestly liked that a lot more than the Mac (Dewalt) but they both get the job done. I usually find myself using the 3/8 impact 90% of the time

Yup! I use the 3/8 stubby and long neck the majority of the time. Milwaukee just came out with the Gen 2. More power, more speed and a really cool way to switch settings by tapping tapping the trigger wrather than the buttons. Something to check out!👍

I try on customers cars as much as possible. Really depends on what I’m doing sometimes with rusty stuff or places wheee torque wrenches are hard to get into I trust my feel with a ratchet more than a torque wrench. When I do performance stuff I generally try to torque everything down
