So much passion, so much LOVE, so much SSSTYLE! M v C 3 is a love letter to Marvel, to Capcom, and to fighting game culture in general. There's so much HYPE! Infinite is a shell with the name---it has the gameplay to back it up, yeah, but the style, the spectacle, the HYPE! ...All of that's gone. :(

I can't believe some people were mad when UMvC3 came out. I know that it only released a few months after the vanilla version AND at a lower price but still. Ultimate Marvel 3 was my first fighting game and I keep it very close to my heart, and I wouldn't be the same person I am today without Mahvel, baby.

@@adnan_honest_jihadist5775 I did know that, I also know he's been beaten by plenty of people who didn't have holy weapons because I've read his comics without only acknowledging his wins 😅 I think in a fair fight they've both got a shot at a win, Dante's beaten mundus who I'd argue is better than mephisto and ghost rider has kept up with the likes of Thor so I'd say it's a close match.

@@guyincognito7518 yes ik that too but ghost rider as long as he lives he will go after people that he wants to kill and if these people dont kill him he will kill them and he will try his best he will always come back. i still have to read his comics but i already know a lot of stuff about him one reason why i like him is because hes a religious character and im a religious muslim i believe ghost rider is a good jinn because jinns are made out of smokeless fire and ghost rider is made out of smokeless fire. well ye idk much about dante and i dont have interest in him but ik good about ghost rider and well ghost rider has infinite strenght he has atleast the potential to that and he can even kill thor and other gods (except the true 1 god ALLAH/GOD ofc)

@Hailstormful I just chalk it all up to nostalgia. No one seemed to see anything wrong with the previous Marvel vs. Capcom games, even though their rosters were completely dominated by the X-Men and Street Fighter franchises. Hell, it had four guys with the same style: Dan, Ryu, Ken and Akuma, and they were fine with that. But when Vergil was announced, the dislikers were just dismissing him as a Dante clone. I mean, they're brothers, so of course their styles are going to be similar.

@SirSomeguy I completely agree with you when it comes to Phoenix Wright. The naysayers felt that he was a bad choice. Not because he's not a fighter, but because he's a lawyer. How silly and ridiculous does that complaint sound? It's funny that so many of them had zero problems with Marvel vs. Capcom 2, even though it had its own "joke characters/trolls" and clones. The trimmed the fat and balanced everything out for the next two iterations, and I have no problems with it. Hell, I love it.

@SirSomeguy One more thing, did you notice how much the X-Men and Street Fighter characters completely dominated the roster? No one had a problem with that fact whatsoever, yet they thought that having four "Resident Evil" and three "Devil May Cry" characters was overkill. I mean, it was different when the name of the game was "X-Men vs. Street Fighter", but when it's called "Marvel vs. Capcom", the horizon has to be broadened quite considerably, but they don't seem to realize that.

@SirSomeguy Don't forget about Iron Man and HIS clone, War Machine. A lot of people talk shit about characters such as M.O.D.O.K., but never took the time to really master him. I saw someone knock out Thor with M.O.D.O.K. with a 150+-hit combo, and that's a feat in itself, given how much health Thor has. A lot of people like to say that Phoenix Wright doesn't fit in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but what the hell does that even mean? They used the fact that he was a lawyer as a reason.

Why people complain about Mr Wright in this game? The last games also had its share of Joke Characters (Dan, Servbot, Norimaru), and, of course, the 2 wolverines (although... i used Dan a lot in the old days)

@leandromd They said they were working on more, so that might not be the entire opening. There will probably be more characters added in the final product. And Judging by the appearance of all the other new characters, Raccoon and Frank West will likely be there too. Also, some of the ones shown in the past weren't shown in this one (X-23 vs Nemesis; Captain America and Hawkeye vs....someone, can't remember)

@ArktikiceFrost I know! Half of each sides roster in MvC2 was Street Fighter of X-Men, despite there already being a game dedicated to that. It should be about how different and diverse each company is, in both fighting styles, characters, and settings. When you put way to much focus on one small part of each one, it ruins the point. Should have called MvC2 "Street Fighter vs. X-Men 2.... and some others too." Plus, UMvC3's cast's fighting styles are SO different. TWO WOLVERINES were in MvC2!?

@SirSomeguy To be honest with you, I feel that most of those people's judgment are severely clouded by nostalgia. Nothing against them, but I didn't really see an overwhelming slew of Roll, Servbot, Amingo and Marrow players (just to name a few). I mostly saw the more popular X-Men characters being used, namely Magneto, Storm and/or Sentinel, making the rest of the roster look like filler. My team was Spider-Man, Captain America and Ken. Have you played every Marvel/Capcom crossover?

@cina1994 Wright or Jean Grey? If it's Grey, it's because she has been deemed "overly powerful in tournaments with spammy projectiles and heavy hitting attacks." I personally never had a problem with her, but the tournament fighters tend to disagree. As for Wright, it's because people are idiots who don't understand that turning a non-fighter into a fighter is freakin' genius, and instead bitch about why another shoto clone isn't in the game.
