Maybe it's because all of the other theme songs are eccentric and really hyped up? Frank West's normal theme isn't exactly like all the other songs if you think about it, it's more so depressing and not as pumped up.

I agree. It's mostly a theme of a beginning of a journey or something like that. Also consider that Adam is the first and real Phychopath that Frank goes against. Carlos, The Gun Owner (forgot his name), and the escaped prisoners all are just a bit sane and do violent acts, so more of just bosses then Phychopath bosses. But Adam is the first one that Frank meets that has totally gone mad.

I doubt Frank would see righteous people like Chris Redfield, Captain America, Iron Man, Zero, Ryu, Thor, or Spider-Man as psychopaths. Interesting take though, makes me think of Frank treating the rest of the roster as if they were boss fights in his own game

I always keep wondering if the Deadrising universe is somehow connected to the Resident Evil universe, since they both have the same situation (except in a little different way), being in the same location, (AKA the US), and being made by the same company, Capcom.

I'd also like to add that I think that using the chopped-up game show opening that is Adam's theme fits VERY well, if not for Frank himself then for Dead Rising as a whole. It plays into Dead Rising's overall themes of spectacle and consumption. Frank begins the game by telling the helicopter pilot to remember his name, because he'll be famous for getting the "big scoop". He also actively obstructed Homeland Security's efforts to stop a suspected terrorist by witholding useful information until the HS agent promised he'd cooperate and give him details for said "big scoop". To be fair, by the end of the game, he seems more interested in getting the truth out to the public for truth's sake! However, he does still make a TV and radio show out of his experience. They later get cancelled, which makes him furious-- mostly due to the threat of losing his fame and status. DR2: Off the Record (while non-canon) shows that he'll willingly put himself in extreme danger to "get back in the **game**" after his fall from stardom. Then comes Dead Rising 2, where we learn that the outbreak has spread. Instead of trying to come together to end the infection, the American people turned it into content to be consumed. They turned zombie-killing into an actual game show.

Yeah, it's a remix of Adam's theme. In that case I kind of wish they gave Frank the small chainsaw in this image and in the game as his main weapon instead of the baseball bat and plunger

Nah, not getting any attention, and zombies that want his flesh and organs is what drove him to the point of insanity. If I recall, I think that's what the deal was with the rollercoaster.
