When I play online, and I end up with Phoenix Wright last, my enemies always say , "HA YOU GOT PHOENIX WRIGHT LEFT!!!! YOU'RE GONNA LOSE!!! After of 30 seconds of the him getting his ass kicked.... he left. The lesson he learned....Phoenix Wright is awesome!!!

What I love about this character regardless of people asking why I pick him as one of my defaults. He is a lawyer. No magical powers, no brute strength, he is definitely no pugilist, not skilled with any sort of weaponry but nonetheless he enters combat swallowing his fear and doubts while maintaining his composure as any lawyer would and simply relies on his intelligence, courage and eventually his confidence. Not to mention he is the best character to troll against your opponent with Ace Attorney as a finisher.

Phoenix Wright has 3 modes. He starts in investigation mode, where his attacks are weak, but he can look for evidence in this mode by performing Special + L, M, or H. Each piece of evidence you find goes into a slot below your hyper gauge, and you can hold up to 3. If you don't like the evidence you find, or you find a fake piece of evidence, you can throw it away by performing the same version of the command you found the evidence with. You can switch to Trial mode at any time by performing ⬇️⬇️ + Special. In Trial mode, he gets a little more powerful, and each piece of good evidence becomes a projectile. Be careful, though. Presenting bad or no evidence by mistake will leave Phoenix Wright embarrassed and vulnerable for a second. With all 3 slots filled with good evidence, his "Hold it!" Becomes "Objection!" If this hits cleanly, Phoenix Wright will enter Turnabout mode!

In this game, he has high health/durability, which is very in-character; survived being punched, tased, whipped, poisoned, 17 cups of boiling coffee thrown on his face, tiger, fell from a burning bridge, hit by a car resulting his head hitting a telephone pole, hawks, prayer beads, and smacked on the head with fire extinguisher and a pipe.

@@FungalFury Small correction: fell into a fast-flowing river at freezing temperatures. The current prevents it from solidifying. Additionally, anything thrown into it are usually forever lost.

The hype was real when Pheonix Wright was announced! What a mistake on Capcoms part for not bringing him back in Infinite! Than again that game was a mistake, so Pheonix dodged a bullet there!

This guy is the One Punch Man of the whole MvC crew. Not because he has one punch or is bald, but because he has no wright being THAT powerful! It makes him the weirdest one in the roster which makes him all the more interesting to play as. I'm so glad they did him justice!

This was the very first musical track from Ace Attorney I ever heard and I loved it. Coincidentally I played a Smash bros fan game with Phoenix Wright in it too the same year I first heard this track. Been thinking about trying the games since I liked the anime, and the story seems good, and Maya Fey was definitely a character I had my eyes on.

just picked up ace attorney for the first time a month ago, and absolutely same. i'm already 60+ hours into the franchise now and it deserves it title as one of the best video games ever. i've always been a huge fan of nintendo and smash bros, and having him in would not only be so fitting, but also a fresh and unique concept for a character just like he is here!! (also hope edgeworth would make it in as an echo similarly to simon/richter, he's my favorite!!)
