Following his initial trip to Newfoundland in 2017, Luke doesn't hesitate to accept another invitation to visit the majestic province. Joining him on his adventure up along the West Coast is Vern, where they are spoiled with the professional guiding services of Craig Borden - the owner of Rugged Edge and Paul and Ruth from Pirates Haven. Revel in their journey from the southern ferry town of Port Aux Basques over to the towering outlook of the table top mountains and concluding with an authentic Newfoundland boil-up dinner at beautiful Mica Lake along with a view of the never-ending sunset at Robinsons Head.
After an overnight stop at Pirates Haven, the pair head north along the trail which eventually gives way to some awesome ocean side beach running. With the new shared route access bylaw in effect for the city of Corner Brook, Luke and Vern take full advantage of the services and amenities the city has to offer; including a visit to the popular Saltbox Restaurant. Then the two set out for their final destination, the town of Deer Lake where they meet up with Mayor and close off their incredible journey with a visit to a historic trail side dam built in the early 1900’s.

This is what America needs to be like......the fact we don't have massive utv ATV routes hurts alot of small towns that would draw tourist out of the cities to the country. Besides national parks and leaf lookers.

Kudos to all in making this top notch video. Thanks to all the townspeople (citizens, councilor's and Mayor's alike) who made it possible to access their city and town roads by ATVs. As they say, this is just the "Tip of the Iceberg". There are plenty more scenic hiding places to see so welcome to ye all and "Long May Yer Big Jib Draw" or "Long May Ya Keep The Rubber Side Down".

Lived up in Northern Maine for many years where there is many mile of network trails from old RR beds leading to remote small family run resturante and hotels is quite similar however that location has always been on my bucket list. Super segment as always. Now owner of a new SXS would love for my wife to experience one day. Again thank you. Will save this information for trip planning. Again thank you!

Great video that properly shows the tourism potential of atvs. It's a crying shame that towns on the Avalon refuse to take advantage of the opportunities before them. The municipal politicians in places like CBS should seriously hang their heads in shame over their anti atv policies.

25:17 They didn't have heavy machinery in the 20's?? They used Steam Shovels to build that dam. The steam shovels were big and they were quite heavy. I think that qualifies as heavy machinery. Lol

Cole, how difficult is it to navigate for someone who isn't familiar with the area? Would a hand held GPS be needed? I live in NS but I'm from Newfoundland and I'm so anxious to find out. What's it like this time of the year? I'm aching to drive my Outlander on those trails, next summer hopefully...

Hey hi! dirt trax tv.Ferries are not the only ways to NFL.Cargo plane are use for it too.Just what i did to bring my atv and rigs. When you travel far to encounter new trail, for me it's the cheapest way.Making 2-3 days of road to get your target start and get exaust...not for me.Plane and on one day you'r there and fresh to start.I don't have a chanel and don't want to because i don't want to share the work i have done .so the place i go are still free of capitalist networker who put on the map every free space we had before. It's not always good to share with hunan kind...
