@@EastCoastATV it's going to be a little different for us our starting point is in NL. Plan on using the ferry system to go from Argentia to NS then back toPAB and just atv all the way home. Not seen any plans on your site for that kind of starting point. Any thoughts on how it would be?
@EastCoastATV
@EastCoastATV 2 жыл бұрын
@@scottpike5520 The ferry from Argentia leaves at 5 p.m. and arrives around 10 a.m. in NS the next day. I suggest taking the midnight ferry over to PAB that night. Get a room on the boat, get a good sleep and you arrive at about 7 a.m. the next day ready to hit the trail. Th Hotel North Sydney (used to be called North Star Hotel) is a short distance from the Ferry Terminal in NS. You could ride your ATVs there and spend the day there rather than waiting around the ferry terminal all day. Or leave your ATVs at the terminal and just take a taxi there, or around town to kill time. Either way, you have a few options. Lookup one of my Argentia to PAB routes and just do it in reverse. Hope that helps.

Beauty views, rivers, lakes, and people, Nice of tat ATV shop to get ya in for a tire swap so quick. MAN that X3 looked like a fighter Jet inside, what a beautiful machine ! Not my style, but manya gotta respect the beauty of it. They dont have the best ground clearance either. Oh man when your buddy wanted to try that hole, I almost knew it was going to be deep haha that skeg stuff can sink for miles lol then I saw him smoke his belt a bit and I was really hoping he wasn't gonna try it lol great video as always, I'm going to try and watch the other two tonight before the Leafs game.

Hey Maritimer! Yeah, it was a bad year for flats due to all the trail grading. It really pulls up the old spikes that are left behind. Oh well, we usually were on our way in a few minutes with a plug or two. Hey! We just did this trip a couple weeks ago up the west coast to hawkes bay and back down. We stopped in for some maintenance at Steve's powersports and the nice lady who worked there mentioned she used to be the owner of that airbnb you guys used to stay at, she asked if we knew you and we just mentioned only by video haha. That shop was exceptional, well organized shop and he knew all the different brands of bikes. He drove to a shop that was an hour away to get some bearings for a friends kawasaki and then put them on. NFLD hospitality is amazing! Similar story our first day one of the side-by-sides blew a belt climbing the table tops, the guy who drove the tow truck had a spare belt at his camp and drove to our lodge that night and put it on for him.. A&L Parking is right across the street from Marine Atlantic. You can see where we park in the beginning of the video.

No, I haven't gone into St. John's before I'd love to sometime, but it would mean adding an extra 2 or 3 days to our trip to do it. I've heard that people do it so it must not be in too bad of shape.

Not everyone, in fact a friend of mine bought a Yamaha RMAX this year, and sold it. He went back to an ATV. He didn't like the riding experience of a UTV.

I run tireject in my tires. Way better than Slime. Mind you it won’t help with side wall blow outs. But you do not need as many plugs. Saw a video of an at tire being shot with a .22. Sealed itself.

How wide is the X3? We have a 72-wide … and was wondering if would we fit the trails?
@EastCoastATV
@EastCoastATV 2 жыл бұрын
It was 64" wide. For the most part 72" should be okay. You may find the odd trail snug for a bit.

We do the trip pretty much every year but we just go with people we know already. Thanks for your interest in coming with us though. If you want to join another group that's going to NL there is a post on my Facebook page from January where people are getting together to do the trip. You can probably reach out to someone there. Good luck with it and thanks for watching!

I’m new to riding and I’m considering doing this trip this summer. Just curious about driving on paved roads, isn’t it illegal to drive on paved roads in Newfoundland?
@EastCoastATV
@EastCoastATV Жыл бұрын
I'm glad to hear you want to do the trip. The City of Corner Brook and several towns in NL allow ATV's to be driven legally on certain roads. If you go to my website I have a map you can download and I have all the roads marked through the towns that are legal. Corner Brook, Deer Lake, Port Aux Basques, Stephenville, Pasadena, and Gander all have legal roads you can drive on. www.CrossingNewfoundlandByATV.com

@@EastCoastATV thank you for your response, do you have a legend for the map? I didn’t see it on your website
@EastCoastATV
@EastCoastATV Жыл бұрын
@@bstansford5115 Sorry, no legend. I can tell you though that the blue lines are the Railbed. The red lines are paved roads. Most of them are legal for ATV's and side by sides. The other colors don't really mean anything, they just help break up the lines.
