Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for the lens update. I did not know you could get the 5:34 Plano lenses for the Quest. I am going to immediately order two sets because people want to wear my Quest with glasses and I've been treating my Quest like a Fabergé egg. Once I get the lenses, they can play without me worrying about them scratching my lenses out. Meow. 10:52 And then...Tenavolts Rechargeable Batteries. The active cable is only $37 and works great with the 5m partylink cable you get like 43 feet for $57. Not too shabby.

You just need a USB C to USB 3.0 cable, I tried using a Samsung cable which charges it only.

Recommend any particular brand of microfiber clothes to clean the lenses? I’ve used some that don’t do a good job cleaning.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Tenavolt AA batteries. My Windows mixed reality controllers go through AA batteries like they're candy. Not sure if the Touch controllers are the same way I'll find out in a few days when I get the Quest.

Hey Ty, I recently bought a quest and have quickly realized just how front heavy this thing really is so I just bought a bunch of accessories (almost every single accessory you named in this video) including the DAS which I cant wait to get! But the one thing I'm struggling on making a decision on is whether I should get the VR Power from Rebuff Reality or if theres another power bank that will give me comparable power for long playtimes that will still look slick like the vr power does..any recommendations? And thank you sooo much for this video it helped me so much in choosing which upgrades to make!

so i bought the Getihu 5200mAh battery pack that you linked and tried it out last night, it didnt seem to be charging while playing, the battery of the quest went down to 65% before i noticed and the battery pack was at 91%. ill try it out again and see what happens.

Can you tell me how your pick and pluck foam in the Apachee 3800 case looks smooth and shiny on the top? Did you melt it or something? Maybe they are using something different now when manufacturing? The one I just got looks more like the top foam.

The 3.5mm ports are only for audio out (not sure if the hardware supports it. If so, maybe in a future update). The built in mic is actually pretty good though.

8:54 that’s literally a Wii-mote strap. It even has the little cut corner thing. Exact replica (save for the wii logo, as far as I know.)

there isnt a way to make the actual link wireless that i know of, but there are unofficial ways to make the quest wirelessly connect to a comptur like with alvr or virtual desktop

official link cable is 5m (16ft ish). 26ft.... thats way more than you need. unless you PC is in another room! i have the 10ft anker cable that is recommended, and im using it with the amazon basics 6.5ft usb 3.0 extension cable (same one that people recommended to extend the original rift).. thats basically the same total length as the official cable, but for about $25 bucks. and its more than enough for me. im sure its enough for 99% of people!

Hi Ty, You mentioned this cable before in previous vid, WEme USB 3.0 Active Extension Cable, 32 Feet 10 Meter USB 3.0 Extender . Did you get any further information from the company regarding the end connection of the power adapter, to extend this device as it is only 5 m? And one last point - Is there any degradation in the quality or latency, while gameing, when using the above cable + party link connected from pc to Oculs Quest?

No, you can wear your glasses in the headset, just be careful not to scratch the Quest's lenses.

I collect VR headsets and test them, and I must say I am incredibly late, but very excited to get my hands on the quest. I will definitely be ordering a lot of these accessories considering that I have tried a lot of them on different headsets and enjoyed them a lot. Also, the neck fan is a must have! Really enjoyed that one. Makes my experience comfortable and cool while not being too much of an immersion breaker, and it really does fix lens fog for the most part! Thanks for the video. So, the 1st version of the strap didn't get the best reviews and they redid it (manufacturer wanted to wait to send me one till they had it right). V2 just came out and I'm waiting on the sample unit. As soon as I have it I'll do a dedicated vid on it. Due to holidays in China now, it might be a few weeks.

Lemme just say, the only caveat I've noticed with those lithium ion batteries for your controllers maintaining a constant voltage, is the battery indicators in the quest home ui always show full. Even when they're about to die. Found this out with my own that I got before watching this vid. Just, playing Robo Recall one minute, then the next, my hands are floating off into space, and I can't pause the game. No low battery warning, nothin'.

8:53 if you have a WII use the straps from those controllers. they are exactly the same as the ones in the video.

Good idea! You'd have to take the ends off the stock ones and tie them to the Wii straps to attach them though. It's a special attachment.

Great presentation, but there’s an excellent way to deal with lenses fogging up. Amazon sells a product called Quick Spit to prevent lenses from fogging. The way I use it is, first I clean my lenses. I quickly wipe the lens cleaner and then I spray the Spit onto my lenses. I then spread the Spit around the lenses with my finger and LEAVE IT ON for a few minutes. Finally, I wipe the Spit off the lenses and then enjoy a fog-free VR session. Since I use my Quest for exercise the lenses would otherwise fog up. Quick Spit prevents that.

Is it really safe? As I have been told never to use liquid/alcohol based cleaning solution as it damages the lenses. How long have you been using this product?
