@@katsosekhute8737 Dionne (allegedly) already knew Aretha was a no-show at Whitney's funeral, and decided to subtly shame her for it. So she told the attendees that Aretha was about to step to the podium only to have to say "Re's not here" a few seconds later, thereby making Aretha look bad/worse in front of everyone. I'm personally on the fence about whether Dionne did that on purpose, though.
@notknown66056 ай бұрын
@@swooningtree I hope that isn’t true. Why would anyone use a funeral to throw shade. Classless. Inappropriate. The focus should have been on Whitney’s passing

Its one thing to throw shade. That takes quickness humor and brains. Its another thing to throw intelligent shade on the SPOT. "Great gowns, beautiful gowns" is the BEST shade of all time because she's not even saying something mean, but at the same time anyone with a brain knows what she's saying.

@swolf47417 ай бұрын
I love me some Janet but I bet she regretted saying that almost immediately, 1. It’s really not in her character to publicly insult anybody 2. As soon as Madonna made sex a musical theme circa the” Erotica “ era circle 1991-ish Janet followed suit in 1993 with the “Janet.” album in which she traded in her head to toe military-esque garb for spaghetti strap tanks and bare midriff. Let’s not act like Janet wasn’t influenced and wasn’t paying attention to Madonna

Celine's, "I hope you know where you are tonight..." (5:43), is an absolute BODY-SLAM! ..She didn't 'k-ill him with kindness', she 'hands on' DECIMATED him! ...ha-HAA!! 2. ...WHO would want to tangle with *CYNDI LAUPER!?* ...Ol' Gal's from BROOKLYN!! (7:39) 3. I love that Older British chicks can cackle at shade thrown on THEM (2:19)....They have the BEST accents to throw it, but are down to Earth about it, when they 'catch' it.... 4. ...Grace Jones' 'euro-centic' shade (4:22), is LETHAL....but, damned HONEST.... 5. Dionne's, "..Aretha is here / isn't here.." is GOLD LEVEL!!! (6:35) ....bringing attention to someone who SAYS they're close to you...but, refuses to show up for an important event...says a LOT about them...and, with Dionne 'introducing' it, to a CHURCH FULL of mourners.....OUCH..... 6. ...speaking of Aretha, I like how NO ONE catches the shade to Cissy...ONLY, '..Cissy's Baby'...!?? (1:23) ....She gave BIRTH to a 'talent', but has none, HERSELF!?? ....ouuuuch.....
