Excellent guide covering all that is needed, like you said your "budget" one can be made even cheaper if needed. I think a lot of is when in ladder (if it's a ladder character) you are making this build...if it's early on some of the "mid game" items aren't cost effective. I mean I've seen Pally's with nothing but a Black, Smoke a pally diamond shield, and just any other random items and charms thrown together take down Uber Tristram (need some patience and skill of course). I mean it doesn't get any more budget than that :)

PS this is the first video I've ever seen that actually gets it right with enhanced dmg/Phoenix/fort etc which has been my main setup for years and years and I never met anyone else smiting with Phoenix and/or fort and so idk how to feel about this video lol

Best thing to put pts into after Smite/HS/Fanat are maxed if you're concerned about Uber Meph or Burning Souls/lite dmg in general using skill pts is Lightning Res Aura and kill user meph with that instead of Fanat. Plus you get hard points into your lightning resistances (+1 maximum lightning res per hard skill pt even without the aura being active. I've cleared Ubers before many times with a plain 4os Pali shield socketed with 4 pdiam8nds and a fleshripper dagger or whatever I gwt the most cb out of 😂

I would like to add things that add Base damage to help. So War Travs and other random items like rings, etc, that add to min or max damage work. Another boot option is Goblin toes, they actually give more CB then gores however they lack movement. As a Pally you might like 1 point vigor as a way to move more free if using Goblin toes. If anyone is playing Hardcore or they want an effective fighter for cheap Smiters, are it. I played Smiters for about 18 years. Phoenix is a decent choice but Upped hoZ is much better. I also think ubers and pvm the Angel you had on is better. Higher resistance that way for optimal elemental resistance. Chains of Honor also is amazing for high end smiters. Making reistsance 130 or more is a way to go when you could have a conviction aura on you. Pvp Life tap is ban. You wouldnt want to pvp a smiter anyway unless you want to go for melee only dueling.

You have not included other pvp guides on exiles and zaka on much better friendly budget... also why you are pushing everywhere vortex shield? Its average damage what counts , olways better option was sacred targe beacose of less dex needed for max block , and the highest avarage damage from elite shields have sacred rondache

If you were going to use Phoenix it wouldn’t be in a vortex .

Stick to pvm builds please. I think pvp is not your thing 😅 I mean if I ever see a smiter with life tap on a pvp map - I will drink rejuvenation potions and he ain't picking up his body EVER, BM for BM.
