Imagine how bad things have to be for freaking Tony Stark to admit he and whatever team he has ain't shit and they need someone else to save their asses. Tony Stark, a man who makes weapons specifically to fight literal gods and doesn't hesitate to use them despite getting wrecked every damn time he does, had to admit he WASN'T THAT GUY and go get That Guy instead. Insanity.

That both speaks to Tony's desperation and the reputation of Spider-Man. He might not always win, he might have writers that make his life a living hell but when that plot armor kicks in he puts in work.

Well, in this Tony's actually a teenager and only donned the armour after his dad Howard, the Iron Man of this universe got involved with the Maker's shenanigans and basically suicide bombed him. So now it's teen Tony and this universe's Doom going around trying to get all the powerless heroes to get their powers and join them so the resistance has a chance going up against the Illuminati, which is a global shadow government.

What if... what if some cosmic level entity that is capable of creating multiverses is trying to make a universe where Peter Parker is happy. But no matter what, they find that Peter being truly happy = destruction for that reality. And for kicks, make it 2 entities: 2 kind older gentlemen named Stan and Steve. And they have to have this talk with Peter: "We're so sorry. We love you so much, and we wish you could be happy. But no matter what we try, either suffering finds you or it all falls apart. Can you... can you please shoulder this burden you don't deserve?"

What the hell. I’m actually trying to write my own Spider-Man story with a similar type of universe to this. I designed my own Spider-Man suit for it and everything. My idea for Peter who would be referenced and not in the story a lot would be. He is a Nobel prize winner, but he is also the founder of a school in a troubled area so the kids could get a good education. No origin story happened in the universe I’m going to make. Well, except for Captain America and wolverine. I even numbered the Earth after looking up which ones had numbers.

It just show how tragic of a character Spider-Man is. Being Spider-Man has brought damn near nothing but pain to him and his loved ones, but he will never give it up because if he did the guilt from thinking he failed to live up to Ben's last words would drive him insane.
