I bought the ma200 a few months ago for my vocals and I love it . It just gave such a better tone to my voice and changed the vital need of so much eq for my voice but everyone is different . I just love this mic ! I used to use a nuemann tlm102 and this is much better in my opinion

For my voice, the MA 201 Fet is perfect! I’ve had it for about 8 or more years and I always come back to it! I thought the tlm 103 was going to be my forever mic, but I returned it and went back to my mojave. It makes me so incredible and anyone who I put in front of it.

Same here. I kept coming back to MA-201 FET over TLM-103.

Definitely agree with going for the ma300 for the extra $200. Like the great Al Schmitt said putting the mic to Omni captures the room tone as well which makes all the difference vs just cardioid pattern. Sweet vid!

I definitely love the gear review videos. I like the studio tours the most, the studio techie stuff (where you show us how you incorporate some new piece of gear or rewire something, etc.) second most and the gear reviews third. But at this point I think I will watch anything you do. I would like to second Daniel Feller's comment that seeing you throw together a piece of music was so surprising and cool. I would watch more of that as well.

Mojave makes killer stuff. Their MA-1000 is a regular for vocals and pretty much everything else for me. Equally goes up against my U47 and when I tried it with a 251. Fantastic company.

I need a new vocal mic and now I’m standing between u87 and ma 1000. would u recommend me the ma 1000 for rnb and pop vocals or would u say the Neumann u87 is a safer Choice ?? It’s such a hard decision for me. Don’t wanna make a mistake with so much money…
@ZachWirchak2 жыл бұрын
@@timuryesa I've heard nothing but amazing things about the MA1000, so I'd start there just for the price point. And if it doesn't do the trick, you can always return it! I also wouldn't sleep on some of the Warm Audio mics as well.

The MA-300 has been one of my favorite microphones in my studio the past year and change. I'd find myself using it most of the time over a TLM 107, which comes in clutch where less colored sound was called for. Can't wait to try the 301FET at some point

I have owned mics twice this price and the MA200 just was so much better for vocals.

The MA-200 from the previous generation is my only good mic I have which I mainly record acoustic solo instruments like orchestral violin and guitars. It's got that punchiness and warmth to it and I do love it. Considering the MA-300 now that I found out about them....

Andrew, appreciate you thoughts on the Mojave mics. I talked to Ross Hogarth a few years ago about the the Mojave 200 series ... he used them for overheads ... eventually I got 2 of the MA201 FETs for overs. I too heard a notable difference. They put our drum records in another league. When the MA-1000 came out I took a chance and bought one sight unseen ... but based on their track record I felt like it was worth the chance. It has become our studio's flagship mic. Mostly used on vox and acoustic. Greatly appreciate your channel. Ron Flack, Canton Ohio

I have an older MA300 I picked up 4yrs ago - been my vocal go to and mono room mic ever since. The drums sound great! The snare rattle in the 'Full Kit' is a bit distracting, though. It's not as obvious when the OHs are solo'd. Odd.
@AndrewMasters3 жыл бұрын
It's the transient designer on the room mics, the sustain is all the way exaggerated for the track it's on.
