Hey there I'm a 12th grader student. I'm struggling a lot in organic chemistry. If you have any tips on how to study organic chemistry please tell.. and believe me when I say that I am struggling means like really struggling. I'm scoring a 50 on organic chemistry test of 180 marks and others in my class are at 130-140. I mean the test is that simple but still I'm not able to do good on the test😢😢

Without innately gifted intelligence, you still wouldn't get anywhere close to Newton. Fact is, he was incredibly brilliant, even from a very young age, and you realize just how smart he was knowing that physics wasn't even his favorite subject. He spent most of his life (around 85-95% of his time) dabbling in alchemy and religious scriptures. He just picked up physics because he was bored during quarantine and got bored with it long before the Principia was published

You can't do it because you're *making* yourself do it. In all likelihood he did it because he was hyper fixated on his work. When hyper fixated it's easy to forget things like eating, drinking water, sleep, and even using the bathroom. You basically get so sucked into what you're doing that you completely neglect your physical needs and well-being. It's not some crazy genius strat to replicate, it's just a side effect of being neurodivergent and having jacked up brain chemistry.

Working and studying for long periods is something that we need to stay prepared and used to it. It is like running a marathon, if you are not used to it probably your performance won't be good. And more important you need to be obsessed. Most of the time I follow people who talk about studies and what I heard in some videos is that geniuses want to answer something, they have a personal question to be reached.

May if you create a habit starting 5 minutes per day, then you can gradually increasing the time. After years now I can study around 12 hours per day from Sunday to Sunday, but it takes time and after that it is not exhaustive but again it worked for me. I normally study 5 hours and stop for 20 minutes and only close my eyes and then back.

I can also do it when I am programming but never for other subjects (specially chemistry screw it)... Newton also can't do it for other subjects like chem, geo, history...... He was only able to do it becoz he loved physics and immersed in his new discovery which was enough action driven motivation to keep him in track

Just a thought: During Newton's time, studying was a bit (or a lot) different. Imagine just using books and no screens from a laptop or phone. Maybe that's one of the reasons why you felt burnt out, because of the screen time from your computer, Ma'am Elise? Well, our top advantage is that we have more sources nowadays. But a very job well done for this one, Ma'am Elise! Because of this, we saw how committed past thinkers were to the way they studied. Well, one of the best things about Newton is that he is also studying the Bible!

Isaac Newton wasn't studying. He was creating. You are guided by textbooks and problem sets. Newton was guided by his imagination. There is a massive difference between the energy required to learn as an apprentice compared to working as a master. Keep in mind too that Newton also had huge periods of his life where he spent time nearly catatonic, or bickering with and insulting people over perceived sleights. He may very well have been bipolar.
