Ultra Light Shore Jigging Guide Sydney

Күн бұрынI had a short session after work and share how I like to shore jig in Sydney Harbour.
If you are chasing monsters certainly up size gear, but if you want to catch a lot of big fish this technique is for you.
Ive caught Bream, snapper, whiting, yakkas, flathead, tailor, kind fish, pike, scorpion fish and a trophy Jew fish! nothing resists the mini jig!
I use these jigs as my fall back whenever the bite is tough and find the cast distance more than anything gets me onto fish and hope this helps you repurpose gear you already have or helps you figure out what you need next.

The slow in slow jigs refer to the sinking rate being slower than your regular jigs. Hope that helps!

I just feel like it doesn't really sink that much differently to anything else I use but maybe I'm just not observant enough!

It's a lot of fun though! I feel like if you get a king you really hope you have chosen a nice clear spot to land them or have a long enough net!

Hey mate love your vids , so you have any tips on beach fishing? I live in the eastern suburbs and wanna try some local beaches but unsure if it’s a possible to catch fish off the local beaches

Really depends on which beaches, Watson's Bay or inside the heads the light shore jigging is perfect and you could expect high chance of flathead whiting bream tailor, lower chance of kings, salmon etc. If you go to surf beaches outside the heads you might consider a slightly bigger set up with 20-60g metal lures because the chance of kings salmon and other pelagic fish is higher and the extra cast distance is really good on a beach to get past the surf. Next time I make it to a beach I'll be sure to cover off some tips!
