A beautiful tribute to the heroes who defended our country from the nazis. We must never forget the men and women who sacrificed so much so that you could live in freedom. Today is even more important because the far right is everywhere. Don’t let the heroes of world war 2 down by letting the far right take away our hard won freedoms

Lovely indeed. My dad was in the 222 squadron as an armourer fitter. He wanted to fly but his vision wasn't 20/20. But he was talented with his hands and building things. My parents moved to Canada early 50's and I was adopted at birth in '67. Many memories they shared and thankful to have dad's wings and medals.

Reap the wild wind A finger points to show a scene. (Take my hand. Take my hand.) Another face where mine had been. (Take my hand. Take my hand.) Another footstep where I once walked. (Take my hand) Take it all. You take my hand and give me your friendship. I'll take my time and send you my slow reply. Give me an inch and I'll make the best of it. Take all you want and leave all the rest to die. Reap the wild wind. A footprint haunts an empty floor. (Take my hand. Take my hand.) A fading coat that I once wore. (Take my hand. Take my hand.) Oh, desolation where I once lived. I have seen in times gone by. I have felt a different shadow on the wall, A stranglehold on a certain feeling. You take my hand and give me your friendship. @MaGuffintop When I was 16 in 1985 I'd been into Ultravox for about 3 yeas and I started a YTS for painting and decorating and in the room where I was there was myself and 4 other lads two black two white, they came across as street wise types and pretty fake impressing each other, they soon took a disliking to me because I was just a normal young kid who spike my mind didn't want to impress anyone. After they'd laughed at me a few times one said I'm into soul what do you like (This was all of us on our first day there) the other lad said soul then he pointed at the other two, they said soul too, then he pointed at me and i wasn't going to lie so I said Ultravox. They all laughed at me and at lunch time one head butted me from another class room,i don't know why I'm telling you this I've never told it anyone before. I suppose it's just me saying be true to yourself. I worked the rest of the day but didn't go back the next day. I saw one of them years later and he was a junkie and still a bad lad,he didn't remember me but I remembered him because you don't forget bullies. I've always liked Ultravox and to be laughed at and headbutted for being different than these idiots is something I've never forgot..

I clearly remember when this video came on MTV and I was completely blown away. Not only was the song very good, but it was Land Rovers and not least a couple of fantastic sequences with Supermarine Spitfire filmed at just the right angle. A great tribute to The Battle of Britain and English heritage in general. Spiritually, it could not be any better and more emotional. I had a Land Rover Series III 88" (short version) at this time and I was a big fan of Ultravox. Together with my education as a computer engineer, the car and band formed the framework for my early adult life. This is definitely quite nice to think about today and I often listen to Ultravox and especially the album "Lament" which I undoubtedly think is the best overall today even though the previous albums are more pure "synth" and therefore in a way more authentic Ultravox.
