Can't help feeling Uma Thurman was under-used by H'wood. She could have been another Barbara Stanwyk (who excelled in both heavy dramas and comedies) if only she'd been given the roles.

Uma Thurman is so funny and eloquent here, it is a shame that misogynistic Tarantino wrote a supposedly feminist story, where heroine has no name (till the very end) and no meaningful lines. Male heroes have excruciatingly long pathetic selfindulgent monologues. You did not have to insert rape and murder as a motive for revenge. Just a couple of those stupid manspeeches would make any women's blood boil.
