The way I see it as a foreign contractor seeking new clients oversees, say, Canada, is that I work under such umbrella company and get work permit and be paid through this company rather than getting into the headaches of setting up a company in that country and you know what the procedures like when starting a company in a country like Canada. So, it's a huge benefit over LLC, isn't it, or am I missing something here? thanks

I'm an Agency nurse thinking about the limited company as next plan. Is it possible to use money earned with the business for paying personal expenses like bills or rent or other expenses out of the business once I set aside a part of the gross income for future taxes? Thanks

Personal expenses are not allowable expenses for tax purposes.

Thanks, my point is, out of the taxable expenses like fuel, mileage etc, is it legal to use part of my income for my personal expenses? I'm currently the only breadwinner at home so it's important to know whether I can use money earned via limited company for my bills and rent. I read that taking money out of a limited company can be done in different specific ways but I thought it is applicable when the ltd is involving more people in it. I just want to know whether I can transfer monthly a part of my income for non business matters without problems. Thanks for your quick reply

You should consult with immigration solicitor on this. We are Accountants and Business consultants.

Yeah fk umbrella companies. I hate the fact they are even allowed to operate legally. They should be outlawed completely.
