I used to play a game called second life, for which, a friend of mine programmed a spare computer to act as a player-character in the game. It's responses where more limited due to it only being a side project, but it learned new things from every conversation it had. Neat parlor trick, but not terribly impressive. Even if it convinced random people it was "smart." "Sophia" Seems to be one step down from that, with pre-programmed responses and a massive data bank to store them all (If they are stored after each interview at all.) If you know anything about this kind of coding it is not all that special or amazing. As for the physical mechanics of the face, I'm sure you can see the short comings of it yourself. Hanson has a long way to go, and the fact that he is showing off Sophia now is not promising for her fate.

In so many places in africa their us still no electricity. ..no water...no gaz line to keep u warm at night. ..I'm canadian n have personal experiences living in North africa since 2013...in a village 5 minutes away from main gaz lines and still after 5 years being here...the village still freeze in winter n live in their houses with winter clothes on to sleep eat ...it's sad really...
