The People's Court

Күн бұрын

The plaintiff says he’s known the defendant since he was a kid and thought he could trust him. He claims the defendant borrowed his car and trashed the brakes, and even stole tools. He’s suing to cover the costs. The defendant claims the plaintiff lied and told his pregnant girlfriend he was cheating, so he kept the tools.

Sorry judge .. that’s not how brakes work. You don’t just have working brakes and then BOOM the next day they fail. Brakes WEAR DOWN over time .. which means you will start seeing signs that they need to be replaced. So they probably were good when the car was given to the dude and he probably drove it crazy during those 2/3 months...

I just had a similar problem in my 2009 lincoln mkz. You can hear the brakes sequeling and grinding well before they would just go out. The longer you drive on it the more you risk eating into the rotor. Once you do that you go from 100$ brake fix to a 200$ brake and rotor fix. I never paid 300$ for the parts though. Maybe because his car is really old🤷🏾‍♀️but idk.

Wrong! I don't think it was made up. The plaintiff gave 'no comment ' when asked if it was true. If it wasn't he would have said no. Also they are already in a custody battle.

He could have paid the ticket when he got the notice. They live in the same neighborhood, why would he not go by the house and pick up the tools?

Why do young people not know how to say Yes? I like how the Judge said, "yaaaaaa". Imitating him.

I don't loan my tools out. If someone wants to use them, they can use them at my home in my garage. Otherwise, the answer is NO.

His girlfriend clearly believed that he was cheating so maybe it WAS true!!! I mean she's fighting him for custody rather than it just being cleared up as it just being a vindictive guy lying about him.

Dude was an idiot for the "cheating" comment to the girlfriend, but what difference does it make that she was pregnant?

a delivery job with no car. the judge sure does like confusing people. she got that guy so confusing on what to say he don't know what to say. the way he's talking a believe him. i think the plaintiff is just taking advantage of the no evidence

What has become of the people’s court? Judge Judy would have torn them apart the tossed them out of court. And this case would have never made it to judge Wapner‘s court !

Oh he was 100% cheating on his wife. His friend just snitched him out of anger when he was drunk, then he took it back because it's his friend. The "no comment" is because he didn't want to lie.
