So romantic, so French! I married in 1967 and this movie was one of our favorites. We went to France in 1969 on “$5 a day”, hitchhiking all over. This music is part of my personal soundtrack.

C'est vrai qu'un paradis avec plus de violence en tout genre plus de meurtres etc. Bref y'a des states elles sont encore disponible. Il y a du positif et du négatif de tout temps. De belles histoires c'est certain, des rêves plein la tête surtout. Bonne journée.

I remember the effect the movie had on me in my early 20s and I absolutely agree. The power of romance coupled with the stirring sound and motion of the race cars floating above the sympathetic strains of lush music was compelling. I went out and bought a mean no nonsense lovely sounding motorcycle the next day.

Love Francis Lai’s music. Played this and his Love Story on piano between working on Schumann and Chopin solos. A Man and a Woman, from the great era of awesome, timeless music. A true love song if ever there was.

I watch this movie as a kid and remember fantasizing me in love on a road trip across France, as an adult I made a road trip from Paris to Normandy with my husband and daughters, and remembered this and thought I finally did it.. It wasn’t romantic as in the movie! Since my husband and me were married already for years and we have our daughters crying and screaming in the car! But anyway was a great trip..

Acabo de cumplir 25 años de casado, mis papá festejaron 50, y mis abuelos cumplirían 70 años de matrimonio si aún vivieran. Cuando escucho esta música tengo un deja vu sobre la vida de ellos, llena de amor y de pasión, enfrentando cambios y reglas sociales. Al final me doy cuenta de que independientemente la época, el amor así es, como la música, es atemporal y siempre es inspiradora. I just celebrated 25 years old married, my dad celebrated 50, and my grandparents would celebrate 70 years of marriage if they still lived. When I listen to this music I have déjà vu about their lives, full of love and passion, facing changes and social rules. In the end I realize that regardless of the time, love is like that, like music, it is timeless and always inspiring.

Saw this beautiful movie in my 20’s . Beautiful love story and the music unforgettable. Is a very romantic music. I freshen up my French a little, which I have learned. But I wish I spoke French fluently, in honor of my French maternal grandmother. She was a beautiful red headed green eyes woman according to my mom. Didn’t have the joy of meeting her. Now I have a beautiful red headed granddaughter.❤🌹🎼❤️🎼

Beautiful performance of this elegant suite with charming voices of two brilliant soloists and clear sound of also brilliant piano solo as well as well-united and perfectly corresponding sound of the other instruments. The incomparable composer-conductor leads the functional ensemble in a relatively slow tempo and with carefully controlled dynamics. Everything is wonderful!
