Miss Crazy Legs Garland looked liked she let loose in this one. I loved her energy and her dancing all around the kids. She was getting right into this one. I love Judy

Long before Madonna was dancing with football players, there was Judy...

There was never any end to what Judy could do. It was so impressive to watch her dance and sing this number. Left me breathless just watching her.

I never could stand football, but I would have given my right arm to have been one of those boys during the "....Football Hero" number. I was about their age when that segment was taped. I wonder how many of them realized and appreciated the fact that they were appearing on television with the greatest entertainer that ever walked the face of the earth

This unaired ''cut'' scene from the JUDY GARLAND SHOW.... did'nt fit the nites scheduled guests or theme, but the last song Judy sings about Jamboree Jones is a upbeat -fun jazzy dance- along tune.... SHE just swings with it!

Love how glamorous Judy looks when she steps out from behind the large poster at 3:15. The Lady had it all!

This number was great, now this was Judy being Judy. This is the fun side of her. I've seen this before and wondered what idiot choose not to show it. Another one of my favorites is the Smoke Gets In Your Eyes number. She the absolutely best FOREVER.

Loved the smoke gets in your eyes number also. They should have done more of it on her show, AFTER THEY MOVED THE SHOW TO ANOTHER TIME SLOT. BUT, CBS WAS TO STUPID TO MOVE HER SHOW.

I love it in the Smoke Gets In your eyes number when he throws her over his shoulder and she grabs the chair. Judy had a tremendous sense of humor. They should have used her humor a lot more on her show. CBS was run by a bunch of IDIOTS. All they had to do was MOVE HER SHOW TO ANOTHER TIME SLOT. NO ONE WAS GOING TO BE SUCCESSFUL AGAINST BONANZA, NO ONE. THE PARENTS MAY HAVE WANTED TO WATCH JUDY, BUT, THE KIDS RULED, THEY WANTED TO WATCH HOSS AND LITTLE JOE. I WAS A KID, BUT, I WAS A JUDY FAN. IT WAS A GREAT SHOW.

I read they cut it bc it wasn't super clear since she had to sing so fast, sounded as though she was mumbling. Sounds fine to me!

I'll never understand why..this number with these wonderful kids was cut from the show..unless it was cut because of that sabotaging fink..Jimmy Aubrey:"The Smirky Snake".

Wow what a transition from the early episodes with her in glamorous evening gowns. This is fun, but I can just see the producers, “All right Jude’s, ratings are down we need to get them younger viewers, we’re gonna suit you up like a football player and have you sing to a kids football team!” Producer slaps her on the back, “alright, get out there kid!”

This only serves to prove what Sinatra said, "Judy could sing 'Fish For Sale' and make it sound like hymn."

A real team of real kids - ethnically diverse - which is unremarkable to today's viewers, but quite uncommon for TV of that era. In the long lines outside Campbell's funeral home (on another clip) there were many faces of color, obviously appreciative of her talent, but also for her efforts during the 60s when doing even small things could be difficult with the network, sponsors, etc.

Judy loved kids. I'll bet the kids had a great time working/playing with her. As far as people were concerned, Judy was color blind. When it came to Judy, C.B.S. showed the World what kind of idiots ran that network. If they would have moved her show to a different time slot, the show would have been a huge success. And if they hadn't cut out the line "THIS IS FOR YOU JACK", the World would have applauded. It amazes me to this day, how stupid C.B.S. was.

Unfortunately..one CBS TV Exec really went out of his way to ruin...Poor Judy's Sunday night variety tv series and he succeeded in doing so..Jimmy Aubrey:"The Smiling Cobra"..or? as I prefer to call him"The Smirky Snake'.
@elspethcoogan14994 жыл бұрын
Kevin S.Butler Aubrey definitely had it in for Judy not just professionally but on a personal level; he referred to her as “that bitch”. I often wondered why. It turns out that they apparently dated briefly before the show was produced by CBS, in the 1963/64 season. Little has been reported about this liaison between them (a brief mentioned is made of it on Aubrey’s Wiki page) so one can only surmise what may have happened between them. Maybe she rejected him and he held a grudge?
