The before and after views in the video do not do justice to how good this action works. Just tested it on three different camera types and each one shows a drastic difference. Settings needed to be adjusted per camera and image just as you said. The thing that shocked me was how good it worked on an image that was sharp but not tack sharp. Well done!!

one of the amazing things that i found out about your program is when i use frequency separation i turn down the texture layer and on the color layer i use lasso tool with CA FILL!, very rarely i use dodge and burn ;)

Does C1 do a better job of processing the initial raw file vs ACR/LR? Also, would you suggest running this action at the end of my workflow (i.e. retouching & color grading)?

C1 seems slightly better than ACR/LR at default settings for most cameras (not all), but if you are going to use Photoshop you will have the ultimate control over the final look. Ideally, I would suggest to use the action in the end, but sometimes I also use it in the beginning while doing a quick retouch.

I appreciate someone going in to the science of this. However this is not the whole story about what makes the medium format 3D look. The optical distortion characteristics of a given focal length, in combination with the angle of view, are unique to each sensor size. Any combination of distortion + angle of view on a medium format is impossible to achieve on a smaller frame, without panoramic stitching. That's why the geometry of objects "feels" different on a medium format.
