Nicely explained. However, there is one more factor when chosing the print resolution and that is the expected DISTANCE from the viewer's eyes to the printed image. A large poster print that is being viewed on a wall from several feet away can be generated from a 150 ppi image file and still look spectacular. The human eye cannot resolve fine details at this distance. This 150 ppi print will look identical to the same print generated from a 300 ppi file. lf the viewer walks right up to the prints and examines them from a few inches away, they will see a little more detail in the 300 ppi print. But once they step back a few feet to view the poster prints "normally," they won't be able to differentiate them.

hello, my photoshop says pixel range is between 0-100 and cant render the preview,why??

is there any difference in image quality if you let the printer scale down the image (via photoshop) vs manually resizing it first in photoshop?

It depends on the printer, and if they apply sharpening after resizing. Also unless its a high quality print, the difference will be less noticeable. But it's best to do it in Photoshop so you can apply the right amount of sharpening.

When I export my photos using Save As, and open back in Photoshop, the resolution maintain 300 ppi but if I use Export As, and then open back, why it dropped to 76 ppi? Is Export As downgrading the resolution ppi of my photo?

'Export As' is mainly for web and screen display and so the PPI value is stripped from the file to the default setting of 72 or 76. But like shown in the video, it doesn't matter what the PPI is if the pixel dimensions of the image are the same. Pixels per inch(PPI) does not apply for screen viewing.
