Link shows old bottle.The newer version is in a blue bottle. Ingredients/chemicals per label comparison is about 95% the same as old silver spray bottle. This vid is from 2017, thus, it changed since then.

My valve cover, clutch cover, stator cover and frame are all painted on my KTM, is this stuff safe for that so long as I don't leave it on there to long?

Hey Cameron, I just got my daughter a 2005 CR85 and the forks have like a white corrosion or oxidation? on them. I'm guessing they are anodized and wonder if you have any recommendations for getting them clean. TIA

Just bought a bike yesterday morning that's been sitting for about 6 months covered in red mud. Spent today and yesterday scrubbing (with a toothbrush) the radiators, engine cases and swing arms with that Mag etching for cast metals. Did wonders after spending about 4 hours with degreaser and not getting anywhere. Thanks for the video!!! Never would have thought about that product!!

Can you use the Mag cleaner on the parts of a complete bike safely? Is it ok to use on engine cases while still in the motorcycle? I've just bought a 2019 CRF450R & just want to give it a good make over. I'm just not sure if thing's like painted engine covers, rubber, plastics, steel etc are safe with this product on it? If not whats the best way to clean the bike with the engine still in it? And it's ok to use a wire brush on Aluminium? Seems crazy and like it would scratch it to pieces? Thanks for any help & advice.

I would use a degreaser called Simple Green to clean up a painted frame.

You could do that but it'd be easier to apply the cleaner to a brush and hit the areas that need cleaning. Anything anodized will get ruined by the cleaner, so that includes forks, part of the swingarm, rims, and any aftermarket bling parts.

I bought a 98 Rm250 I’ve done pretty much almost u can do it make it look nice new graphics and plastics need pro tablet bars Odi v2 lock on grips spoke skins renthal wheels the only thing that’s ugly is the fading black stock frame paint any tips to make it a modern steel color

I thought I’ve tried everything until I came across this video. I hauled ass to the parts store and bought some and man oh man does this stuff work. Spray it on and wire brush it. It makes miracles happen. My engine cases are so clean I can literally eat off them. Loved this stuff! Thanks for opening up a new world for me!

I've used it on carburetors and it works great, just not in a ultrasonic cleaner. Of course you'd want to disassemble it before hand.

Cameron do you recommend using anything on the aluminum after finishing the process - I have done my swing arm with your SB wheels to a brushed finish but was wondering if i should finish it of with a WD 40 / Maxima MPPL layer to keep it shiny, love you products and thank you from Denmark. Jk

When it gets wet, it will tarnesh in time. This is acid etch and removes a very thin material, so dont keep doing it over and over. This stuff can even make tires on raw alloy wheels leak if repeated to many times - proof that it is an etch. Polishing with Semi-chrome paste is work, but makes it shine longer. Left alone, it will look like complete crap again in no time on a dirt bike.

This is an etch and could make aluminum radiator seams leak, as it microscopically removes material.

The mag wheel cleaner will help quite a bit but you'll have to use something abrasive. A rough scotch brite pad or wire brush will clean that off. Heating up the pipe will also help loosen up that stuff.

I just got off a bunch of plastic gunk on my pro circuit header with a couple coats of oven cleaner, or you can use eazy off, stuff like that does the trick without haveing to use anything abrasive.

Yes, it is safe on gaskets and o-rings. I've never had an issue with it on engines.

Simple green and mag wheel cleaner do two different things. Simple green strips dirt and grease while mag wheel is an etching product for removing corrosion.

Alright, I understand. I recently acquired an 86' Z50R. I removed the engine and in the process of cleaning it up. I used simple green but there's still some spots that it didn't get. I think its carbon? Gonna try the mag wheel cleaner next. Thanks for the tip.

The mag wheel will definitely clean it up. I've never ran into a scenario where it didn't work on bare aluminum.

Seems like a lot of effort when there's already a brush on chemical made that requires no scrubbing/brushing.... 'Alibright' < very light brushing and simply jet wash off, leaves alloy as new.

Careful using that cleaner, it'll hurt rubber seals or plastics if sprayed on and left on too long. Don't get that shit in your eyes either lol
