UNBELIEVABLE CAMERA GEAR at Conowingo Dam for Bald Eagle photography

4 жыл бұрынDozens of photographers gather with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, in cameras and long lenses, up to 800mm, to photograph the migrating bald eagles on their stopover at Conowingo Dam in Maryland. The eagles feed on fish in the waters of the Susquehanna River.

Winter time is best when the eagles are nesting.

we usually are in droves during the winter and early spring because they are nesting.

Ha! I think people are trying to protect their lens investment by getting the protective cover, such as LensCoat, or similar, and for some reason most go with the camo design option.

A lot of wildlife photographers wear camo. The people here are probably not under any illusions of being invisible to the eagles, like you said, it's not the woods. It is probably more like habit. In some cases, respect for the wildlife, not wanting to be so invasive. And those pockets probably have gear in them, maybe granola bars too!

Yeah I shoot all the time at conowingo, and I go in jeans and a winter coat...I find it ridiculous how all these people show up to a concret Pier and parking lot in camo 🤣
