I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my KZfaq recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. You two just provided another excellent reaction. I really enjoyed it, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence. He has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now and it shows. I read somewhere that Dimash used to swim 3 hours every day to develop the capacity of his lungs. It's not just a raw talent but tremendous work to achieve this level of performance. From what I gathered, he started singing lessons at 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with Honours, having achieved a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career. His range is about 7 octaves now but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a much-loved national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. He also plays six instruments; the dombra, piano, drums, guitar, xylophone, and cello

Great reaction, ladies. The man accompanying Dimash on the piano is Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. After watching Dimash's performance of SOS in 2018 he gave him a standing ovation. It was the moment he decided to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I miss you, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, just to name a few. It must be very satisfying for him to sit down and compose music without constraints (limitations by ordinary singers). High notes, low notes, whatever his genius mind can conceive, Dimash will achieve. Igor Krutoy composed this song 25 years ago for Alla Pugacheva, a very famous female Russian singer. He modified it for Dimash to sing. Someone explained on another person's page the different elements of the song. There are three sections: In the first and longest, Dimash is addressing the audience, describing his dream-like love. In the middle section, Dimash lives the dream. Notice he disengages from the audience; his eyes are closed, then he opens them and looks up. The audience has ceased to exist for him. In the final section, he wakes, notices the audience again, then tells them how the dream made him feel. Which is energized!

The amazing thing is he does it with little effort, throw in his vocal skills, his ability to bring waves of emotion upon you from all directions, and his ability to hold runs and notes so long without a breath; and you have DIMASH the greatest singer in history. You won't see anyone else doing those things near as well as DIMASH. A real legend.

If you have a mixed voice.. its little bit easier to hit high registers because mixed voice is louder then normal voice when you screaming. not everyone has that.. but this guy is profesional and fully trained. He know what he is exactly doing. That control on that mixed voice is hardest thing and unique, thats why dimash being perfect. He is the only one for now. And for me already the best male singer/vocalist on this generation fr. 😁
