The wall material is a type of plywood. I believe it is called OSB or oriented strand board.

@@TokyoCapsuleCollection in my country it is used to sheath the outside of houses being constructed before the siding. Also used for the floors in new construction before the tile or carpet. It is a very strong material but definitely not used alone without a final covering of, at the very least, paint. So, yes, unusual to see it used this way.
