Looks like this bike is from WW2, is that some kind of weight for a pulley to turn bridge George, is so articulate and curious, what a wonderful boy due to such a great Dad The history you are teaching him. The finds are fantastic

This was a fun one George!! You really hit the jackpot this time!! I am just trying to imagine the people who tried to make a go of that homemade raft....lol!!! Have to admit that I was holding my breath thinking that at any moment you would pull up the skull and neck bones of poor departed Anna still attached to her captors shackles...lol!!

Christie Howell we all had the best finds that day it was my first gun so I was so pleased 😀 it was really creepy at that haunted tunnel and when we started pulling the raft out I thought it was a coffin lol I’m so glad it wasn’t and I was thinking I hope those people who made the sunk raft didn’t drown in the dark tunnel maybe Anna pulled them in you never know 😱

The pot with the spout is a flare.you fill them with parafin and light the spout.no wick.usualy these were made in pencillvania u.s.a about a hundred years ago.used like our modem road works warning lights.

Briliant, did you make any footage. Yes we are well, seems like you are also. As a matter of interest, I used to course fish, on the mile straight in Leicester. Next time you magnet fish, TRY the Bead house , make for Upperton road, park near as you can to the river, walk upstream over the bridge with railings, TRY at the end of Bead. House bridge. There was stuff there when I fished , always getting booked up in the bottom of the river there. Graham worsdall

Hay guys design something so your not pulling against a block wall. Make a unit with roller blade wheels that lays over the edge to help roll it over the top.

Magnetic g I went today for the first time to two old bridges in my community. Only found two old nails and a hex head bolt. Magnet became stuck in some rocks and had to wade out and get it. No trash though. I was surprised.

Thank you for your comment, I don’t think there is someone employed to open and close the bridge. I think the boaters have to open and close it for themselves or rely on happy to help passers by. Thanks for watching 👍👍

Curious... How did you get permission to magnet fish at that location as the Canal River Trust do not allow magnet fishing in the waterways they manage.

Thank you for your comment, magnet fishing is a bit of a grey area, we believe canal and river trust are deciding whether to ban it or perhaps licence it at some point. We have never had any issues and don’t know of any magnet fishers that have. So long as you clean up after yourself you should be ok. Thanks for watching 👍

Terribly sorry to tell you but you can't keep the bike you must call the police it's a stolen bike and it was thrown in the watea stolen bike and it was thrown in the water. 🏍. 👮🏼 🚖

Hi Doreen, we report any potentially stolen items to the police. We also report weapons to the police and hand over the ones at that we are not allowed to keep in the U.K. Hope you enjoyed the video!
