when I was young and lived in Soviet Union there was a special show running every Sunday - it was called "Raduga" which translates to English "Rainbow" - nothing to do with gay-pride, but about multitude of cultures in Soviet Union and from other countries of the world. Loved to watch it. It was time when we were embracing other cultures so openly, believing in their honesty. And this trust was sadly so badly misused.

This dance style called Beryozka dates from 1948 when is was created by choreagraphe and danser Nadezhda Nadezhdina. I don't know how many old cultural elements she incorperated, but the whole is far more recent than it looks.

It's just teeny tiny, but very quick steps. It's not difficult to achieve the floating effect, but it loses the magic if you see the feet, and it is difficult of course, to achieve all that synchronicity.
